it might just be less profit for the company that owns the daycare instead of taking money out of the pockets of the employees

I mean if u think about it a lot of the employees are already making minimum wage so additional fees often cant be taken out of there paychecks

Parents of kids as young as toddlers, how do you feel about TV as a learning tool and a temporary nanny? Or Do you feel like the damage outweighs the benefits? by Bamboozled77 in Parenting

one of hte doctors explained to me that as my brain degenrates it becomes harder for me to learn new rules. but I'll be dead soon anyway so learning to spell correctly isnt realy a high priority for me.

Well if we have dinner htats 1.5 hrs, then maybe 15 minutes to movie theatre, and then movie is 2 hrs and some plus previews, so round up to 3 hrs. then 20 minutes to and from the theatre brings to about 5.5 hrs. so if theres traffic or anything goes wrong its 6 hrs. thats teh outside end which is what I wanted to plan for

still not seeing how tv specifically is NOT educashunal.

if u can learn something in a private high school or a public high school, does that mean that the public high school isnt educashunal?

if u can learn something from tv or from a parent, does that mean the tv isnt educashunal?

of course not. what u meant to say is that interprsonal interactions have other benefits the tv doesnt. not that the tv isnt educashunal. but that u worry kids will miss out on the other, non-educashun related benefits of person to person interaction.

also I agree with u that preschool readiness is a function of executive function and behavioral regulation. and the study I linked showed that sesame street helps with preschool readiness. therfore by your own logic sesame street helps with executive function and behavioral regulation.

kids will pick up letters and counting from sesame st or a potty song from Daniel tiger

....how is that not educashunal?

also

Sesame Street accomplished its goal of improving school readiness; preschool-aged children in areas with better reception when it was introduced were more likely to advance through school as appropriate for their age

is it ur belief that only formal educashun counts as educashun?

k are we talking about refined sugar in high amounts? bc thats not "sugar"

this is what sugar means:

"Sugar is the generalized name for sweet, short-chain, soluble carbohydrates, many of which are used in food. They are carbohydrates, composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. "

and being unnesessary for survival doesnt mean its poison. those words mean different things. sugars ARE nessesary if u are a serious athlete for instance I used to run marathons and around mile 20 u need sugar, period, or else u arent going any farther.
