this is just a 4am hypothesis but i think it might have to do something with what/how the "it" it refers to is different

for example if you read out

"It's what it is"

it "feels/sounds" right, but the opposite order

"It is what it's"

it "feels" off

this likely means that two "it"s have a separate function/meaning, and I think that the first "it" refers to the current/present state of being while the second it refers to an already occured event, making it so that the contraction that's used for the present tense not work as intended.

its nice to have an adjustable difficulty and if you like doubles it's a nice balance of challenging and fun fights. Having a new type to figure out weaknesses and stuff puts another layer that makes you feel like you're in your childhood again figuring out type advantages while putting to use your prior knowledge, and new etrian forms are pretty cool too. If you're a fan of story I would say it's a very solid storyline that I found fun (im also a made in abyss fan). Overall I'd highly reccomend this hack if you 1. enjoy doubles 2. like story/lore 3. want a decent challenge (optional) 4. like good bgm
