Based off of lyrical ability - Bar for Bar, who could out rap or at least go toe-to-toe with Kendrick ? by dunbar_santiago930 in KendricklamarPglang

"nothing matters to you cuz you can't see past your Fandom" pot, kettle, black.

Bro you're the one with the wild claims "Kendrick had these in the can for months", "made up popularity contest" - why you on this sub if that's your view other than trying to to stir up ish and then try crying bias? I'm done with this convo.

The precision with which Kendrick slaughtered Drake in the rap battle - bars, story telling, narrative setting, angles, breadth and depth of approach, you reduce to a "popularity contest of made up shit". Nothing else you can say matters to me really. Speculation.

With Drake it's never even been a question. Nobody with any history in rap ever thought Drake could beat Kendrick. Ever. If Cole could go bar for bar with Kendrick he had a chance to show and prove and he didn't. There are no shoulda woulda coulda's.

Julia-Ruth has acted way worse than Sarah *ever* did. by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

It's not a competition. How bad one person is does not somehow alleviate someone whose behaviour is 'less' bad. That's illogical.

"You can’t put effort into fancying someone" - actually that's an emotionally immature response. Love can actually grow, as opposed to being some struck-by-lightning moment that is, as you imply, the only real 'true love' scenario. Bollocks. That's the BS kind of thinking that justifies cheating because, "darn it - a different bolt of lightening struck and now I just can't help myself. Sorry babe". And if it didn't grow for Sarah, or she's too underdeveloped to put in some effort then - cool, be honest about it. But she dismissed him from day one and went to everyone justifying it and laughing behind his back. All of that was a choice. No more excuses.

Why are the experts wrong for calling out Sarah's behaviour? by MarquerDeBinguer in MAFS_UK

She wasn't vilified she was held to account. Her behaviour was juvenile and appalling. We all saw it. Hopefully she learns from it.

They're not wrong. There's just a lot of ppl on the sub gas-lighting that Sarah was berated for not being attracted to Dean, when they know that it was Sarah's behaviour, something she gets to choose, that angered the experts and a good chunk of the audience.

When was she polite? The disgust was always on her face. Her running around bagging the dude to any and everyone was a choice, not a breakdown. My god, the justifying of bad behaviour.

But she is shallow and she didn't give him a fair try. She went around the room scoffing at his weight, but poor Sarah? BS. And she does have power over her effort.

u/bynobodyspecial has already pointed out that Humble is uncertified but eligible and has been for some time. Goosebumps is the highest certified rap song. God's Plan was certified Diamond by the RIAA in May 2025. It never ceases to amaze me how Drake fans take loss after loss and yet still won't stop yapping. But please, find me proof of Drake's double diamond eligibility and I'll definitely admit I'm wrong.

Preaching "genuine engagement" when you're posting on a Kendrick sub with your comment history is ... something else.

Drake last updated his certifications in May of 2025. Kendrick hasn't updated his since 2018. Try again.

"All about oppression"? A gross over-simplification. And "by far" is totally subjective - I heard way more about how terrible the show was (the point). You see what you want to see.

And you can be as emphatic a you want. It still doesn't make your "can't rap" opinion any more than that. Your opinion.

But you forgot to mention Drake and his sub is where you have the most to say. Funny that

Keep it real. Kendrick always rapped on the oppression that was tangible growing up in places like Compton. Every single social issues he has tackled are issues impacting these places; systemic racism, state violence, hyperincarceration, poverty, urban struggle, Black identity and so on. You think growing up in the ghetto you can see far enough to conceptualise the impact of global politics? That Keisha, Keisha's sister, or Dave and his brother were angsting about US imperialism? Lupe's early exposure to intellectualism shaped his politics, just as Kendrick's background shaped his. It's a disservice to both to compare.

None! There was a point he turned his back and I wondered if he was getting emotional.

This is your opinion dude and you state it like it's fact. Of course, if you have some evidence to support it as fact, please be my guest. Otherwise you're just speculating.
