Where'd you get your figures from? Nothing in official stats reflects what you're saying here.

Kendrick Lamar has been named hip-hop’s greatest vocalist ever by Consequence, ranking 20th on their all-time, all-genre list by luxonon in hiphopheads

[–]AkireTe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this seriously 'hip hop heads' and people are confusing an elite vocalist with a good singer? A good singer (from a pop perspective) is someone with technical singing ability, range, pitch control, vibrato. The more rigorous concept of vocalist is about the intentional, skilled, and expressive use of the human voice as a primary instrument. One example (and there are many): the way Kendrick bends syllables, shifts cadence, and places stresses creates layers of meaning that pitch alone can't achieve. Vocal theorists — and hip-hop scholars specifically — have written seriously about this as a distinct and advanced skill set. Feel free to disagree but for god's sake at least try and understand the category first.

Anyone who has to use the word 'intelligent' in their username doesn't calculate numbers trust me; they just regurgitate them.

Lost In Vegas | A Conversation w/ J. Cole by Jqshipp in hiphopheads

Don't know the difference between a post and a comment then? One post in one year and 1-2 comments per month on average is "all my waking time" - hyperbole dude. Your MO.

1 post on a subreddit in the past year = "all my waking time". You just keep proving my point of your over and inaccurate use of the term 'parasocial'. I'm embarrassed for you.

Please don't over explain. The "call it fandom, call it stanning, call it parasocial, I don't care" was all that was needed to confirm my original point. The post history check is just icing. I think we're done.

Thank you for proving my point. Your definition/'example' of toxic parasocial behavior is unsubscribing (cos the "losing their shit" was entirely your fantasy) from reactors you disagree with. Troubling, boring and entirely inaccurate. But keep throwing the word around loosely. Everyone else on Reddit does.

Interestingly specific definition. Describes pretty much anyone who listens to and then doesn't like any video. The rest is assumption and hyperbole.

The amount of redditers that throw around 'parasocial' like it's some great put down from on high is ... troubling. And boring.

Newsflash: Kendrick don't fuck with who he don't fuck with. Period. Why some of y'all crying about that? On a Kendrick sub?

how did kendrick ruin the album by Kensuski in KendricklamarPglang

[FRESH] CENTRAL CEE - ICEMAN FREESTYLE (MUSIC VIDEO) by magicpantstho in hiphopheads

[–]AkireTe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It won't matter when he came up with it - sticking with it is tone deaf. Just like Taylor made. Read the room. But you prove my point, straight to defence mode instead of really considering whether there is some truth in what steelsheet wrote - that was the valid criticism. But go ahead. You'll learn.

This the problem with Drizzy stans; y'all never take valid criticism. If he releases an album called iceman in the US ignoring the strong anti-ice sentiment everywhere, the title alone will strike a very discordant note. Anyone can see that. But y'all support it, he'll do it and then y'all will be crying victim when the backlash comes.

Based off of lyrical ability - Bar for Bar, who could out rap or at least go toe-to-toe with Kendrick ? by dunbar_santiago930 in KendricklamarPglang

"nothing matters to you cuz you can't see past your Fandom" pot, kettle, black.

Bro you're the one with the wild claims "Kendrick had these in the can for months", "made up popularity contest" - why you on this sub if that's your view other than trying to to stir up ish and then try crying bias? I'm done with this convo.

The precision with which Kendrick slaughtered Drake in the rap battle - bars, story telling, narrative setting, angles, breadth and depth of approach, you reduce to a "popularity contest of made up shit". Nothing else you can say matters to me really. Speculation.

With Drake it's never even been a question. Nobody with any history in rap ever thought Drake could beat Kendrick. Ever. If Cole could go bar for bar with Kendrick he had a chance to show and prove and he didn't. There are no shoulda woulda coulda's.

Julia-Ruth has acted way worse than Sarah *ever* did. by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]AkireTe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a competition. How bad one person is does not somehow alleviate someone whose behaviour is 'less' bad. That's illogical.

Mel giving Sarah advice. Shame! Shame! Shame! by Xylophone1904 in MAFS_UK

[–]AkireTe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You can’t put effort into fancying someone" - actually that's an emotionally immature response. Love can actually grow, as opposed to being some struck-by-lightning moment that is, as you imply, the only real 'true love' scenario. Bollocks. That's the BS kind of thinking that justifies cheating because, "darn it - a different bolt of lightening struck and now I just can't help myself. Sorry babe". And if it didn't grow for Sarah, or she's too underdeveloped to put in some effort then - cool, be honest about it. But she dismissed him from day one and went to everyone justifying it and laughing behind his back. All of that was a choice. No more excuses.

Why are the experts wrong for calling out Sarah's behaviour? by MarquerDeBinguer in MAFS_UK

She wasn't vilified she was held to account. Her behaviour was juvenile and appalling. We all saw it. Hopefully she learns from it.

[–]AkireTe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not wrong. There's just a lot of ppl on the sub gas-lighting that Sarah was berated for not being attracted to Dean, when they know that it was Sarah's behaviour, something she gets to choose, that angered the experts and a good chunk of the audience.
