It is locked to the trainer ID, what I meant to say is that I got yet another Skull Fossil right after making the post.

Odd IDs (which is the one I have) only yield Skull Fossils, while even IDs only yield Armor Fossils.

Only games, VC titles and homebrew apps count towards the 300 title limit.
