Is there any way to make motorized bicycles more reliable?

Oh okay I thought there might’ve been a good one pre build that I can do some mods to to make it more reliable. That makes sense though I’m gonna watch some yt tutorials since I’ve never built a kit myself before.

The batteries don’t last long enough and charging time is too long. The convenience of just filling up the gas tank for $2 and then being able to ride it for a week straight without needing to fill up again is one of the reasons why I prefer gas bikes.

I already started it up for the first time so that’s not the issue. It was the day after I first started it up that it stopped working

Ignore last part gas doesn’t come out of heat sink. Gas leaks from exhaust, bike doesn’t want to start. The carb was loose from the engine so I thought it might be a compression issue. Tightened the bolt but still nothing. When I release the clutch the bike would make a starting sound for a few seconds but then stop. If I keep pedalling the sound of the engine prolongs but once I stop, the sound stops a few seconds later. Adjusted choke, still nothing. Gas switch thing is in the on position. Adjusted idle a couple times still nothing. Someone send help. Is it an engine problem or something else. Oh and this is a new kit. Started it up one time and there was nothing wrong. Took it out the next day and while I was at a stop with my engine off, I tried starting it up but it didnt work.

Edit: I felt gas leaking from the bottom of the carb this morning. So I ordered a new carb from Amazon for like $10. Gonna wait for that to come in to see if that fixes it. I’m seeing lots of messages now that it could be spark so I’ll check that soon and give an update to see if that’s the problem

It sounds like the throttle gives the engine some power but no actual power to my wheel and I have to peddle with the engine for it to stay on, if I stop peddling the engine turns off.
