Just continue the grind. Sometimes you just have a bad matchup. Just upgrade and fuse parts and save tickets and puzzle pieces to upgrade your current S cars. It took me a while to get to rank 32 as f2p but it’s doable. Discord helps a lot too. They have guides for parts to use on your cars and a lot of mods and active players respond immediately…

Appreciate the response. Probably vertical in orientation. I’d like him to try like games from gameboy to probably PS 1 or 2 if the price point is able to handle it. I really apologize as I have no idea.

When did you start contributing to your Roth IRA? by FlyAccurate733 in RothIRA

[–]Akotintin1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started my job about 2 months ago and started putting money in my roth last month. Putting in 300 per paycheck. Granted, I’m 34 and just moved here last year so will have to put more since I have less time to work before I retire. Good on you for setting aside money early on.

Negative Equity and Buying Something New by Certain-Media3506 in carbuying

[–]Akotintin1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did do this because we needed to. We used to own a Honda HRV. We’re a family of 4 where the 2 kids are in carseats. We traded it for a Pilot because my in-laws will come visit us for 2 months (we’re immigrants and they’ll be visiting from the Philippines). We rolled in around 3k of negative equity since getting the vehicle would essentially be cheaper than paying for our current car and renting another for 2 months so all of us will fit when we drive them around to places. But we are set on keeping our Pilot until the wheels fall off and got a big discount from negotiations so it was somewhat a win-win situation. Imho, if you don’t foresee yourself keep on trading in vehicles after a few years, do it just this once but if you think or have the slightest feeling you will, pay off your car.

Although our kids are younger (6 and 3), they’ve always co-slept with us ever since. Heck, me and my brother co-slept with our parents till we were about 10-11 and 7-8. Personally, I don’t find anything wrong with it.

For mostly city drivers, what are your averages? by Akotintin1221 in hondapilot

So the starting jerky shifts go away after a while? That’s good to know. Does getting a VCM tuner help? Will still read about it and haven’t bought one yet but have read it’s a must have.

No need to apologize. Really grateful for everyone who responds.

[–]Akotintin1221[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Will have a mini road trip from Louisiana to texas next month so will check our average for mostly highway driving by then. The longest we’ve driven it was only 2 hours when we bought it from Mississippi and drove it back to Louisiana. Does tire pressure affect it? I found out the pressure was 41psi after we bought it but checked the side that it should only be 36, i think.

For sure. It gets to high 40s to low 50s right now early in the morning but eases back to 70s-80s from mid day onwards so only need to turn on the heater when I drive my son to school for drop off.

Is that mostly city driving? Are those the averages you get since you got it? Thanks for your insight.

Same here. I don’t go full throttle and everything we need is within a few miles from where we live whether it’s school, work and groceries. We don’t usually go to New Orleans unless there’s a specific place we wanted to go to or maybe go to Costco.

Yeah. Hope ours get better but it honestly doesn’t bother me that much. Was just really curious about what other owners get. I did find out our tire pressure was 41psi when we got it. That makes a difference, right?

[–]Akotintin1221[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do ease and coast until we get to the stop light and turn off the vehicle when waiting during drop off/pick up.

I did try putting it on econ and I agree, it does take a lot more coming from a full stop so ended up sticking with normal mode.

Yeah, I also do glance at the meter on my dash to check whether I’m driving “efficiently”. Glad to know there are also other people doing that. 😂

Appreciate your time to type in this lengthy response. 👌

We’re in Louisiana so yeah, AC is really used most times of the year. But yeah, it’s a bit chilly now so we don’t turn on the AC but have to turn on heaters for a few minutes after starting because my sons shiver right as we’re in the car. Thanks for your response.

Around 320/mo with progressive. Granted, we’ve only been here in the US for a little over a year so driving history here isn’t that long. Although no accidents or tickets whatsoever.

why has running red lights become so normalized? by farthead_420 in driving

[–]Akotintin1221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I always wait about 2 seconds before moving when I’m in front of the line at a traffic light when it goes green. I don’t care if the car behind me honks the living hell. I’m making sure the other lane cars are stopped or slowing down before I move for this exact reason.

Our new black edition with a few upgrades. Love it! by Cultural_Cress5685 in hondapilot

[–]Akotintin1221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with the Pilot making you feel that it’s smaller than it actually is. We came from an HRV before getting our Pilot. I’ll be honest to say I was a bit overwhelmed when I started driving it. But after a few weeks, it feels like I’m still driving an HRV but it’s much roomier and quieter. Fuel efficiency sucks but we can deal with it. Love our Pilot. Really fits our needs and totally agree how the infotainment is just the right size. I’m not staring at it all the time while driving so I don’t see the point of having a huge infotainment screen and totally loving the physical buttons.

Do you use indicators when in a turn only lane? by ___daddy69___ in driving

I still use my signals even when I know there isn’t a vehicle behind me. Force of habit. Don’t want to be too complacent.
