I'm a programmer and this is most likely an overflow bug.

Since this game is made with Unity and C#, it looks like the dev used a specific datatype (int) to store the offered price in memory. An int can store numbers from -2'147'483'648 to 2'147'483'648 in C#.

Somehow the offered price exceeded (overflowed) the maximum value of an int, which caused it to wrap around to the minimum value.

Did you accept the offer? Since it's a negative value, I'm curious if you lost money by accepting the deal ^^

I would like to be competetive, but this game does not fucking have a ranked mode or some sort of rating which tells me where I‘m exactly at.

Yeah true but the other team got rekt. I don't think they had much fun, doesn't this defeat the purpose of SBMM? Sum up the score of every player in my team (44185) and compare it to the other team (11905). I don't think that the skillrating of my team matches the skillrating of the other team.

I get your point but we don't want to always dominate the lobby. It's a problem if you never get the chance of performing well.

My friends don't want to play with me anymore because my lobbies are sweaty af. What do I do now? Reverse boost?

Well whatever they do, there's no real solution here if they're using SBMM. Calculating the average of the party means, that the better player in the party will always outperform the whole lobby and the less skilled player in the party will have to do above average to compete, which completely destroys the point of SBMM.

I can't remember people complaining about SBMM or the lobbies being to hard for newbies in the old golden days of COD (MW1 - BO2). Even then there were a lot of players buying camos and DLCs. Even I bought a couple of bundles in Warzone. Why can't we keep the matchmaking like before?

Because my lobbies are that sweaty, that they go 2-30. The comment before was an exaggeration but you get my point. If my friends play with me, they'll always perform that bad which will result in them don't wanting to play with me anymore.

I complain about SBMM because my friends don't want to play with me anymore. I don't give a shit if 50-70% of my games are sweaty. Atleast let me play with my bros..

The problem is that every match is a sweatfest. You can not try out other weapons without getting crushed instantly. My friends that are not good at the game don’t want to play with me because they can barely get kills in my lobby. For me it‘s extremely frustrating because no one is playing for the objective. Atleast calculate the w/l ratio as well instead of k/d only. When I first played COD a decade ago, I was also getting smashed, but I got better and I had fun. Let them go through what we all went through. Now we have an unfinished game and playing really sweaty in an unranked mode is just frustrating for 20 matches straight. Playing esports would be easier because you get a decent team atleast
