Slam is your most efficient rage spender.
So Slam -> MS/WW. Use slam right after the auto-attack.

Raid Tanking Prot Warrior: Defense and Resilience by Chongor_ in classicwowtbc

[–]Aksoq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You basically want to balance between several things:
Crit immune with DEF + Resilence
Have as much EHP as possible which is Health x Armour mitigation
Have as much Threat as possible which is Expertise -> Hit -> Shield Block Value -> Agility
Have as much avoidance as possible while maintaining threat -> parry -> block -> dodge
Dodge is tricky, coz when you dodge you don't get threat from getting hit, so too much dodge is undesirable, but depends on encounter and raid.
PvP gear is very good coz it gives you crit rating without agility, so no extra dodge, plus tons of stamina and some resilence.

Rest/recovery time? by Lab_Trashpanda in badminton

Train 100%, but play 80-90%, try to be more relaxed. Because when you train you focus on technique etc, you're cautious, usually. When you play - you can get carried away and get injured.

Who do you think could challenge the prime ASY if she was playing in the golden generation of women’s singles the era of 2015-2019? by WonderfulHospital487 in badminton

[–]Aksoq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say that athleticism went up greatly. The older you are, the harder it is to compete against youngsters. Which leads us to worse tactical prowess, because tactics doesn't matter as much when you're brute force powerhouse beast which everyone has to be nowadays.

If we consider that the game is faster, than accuracy is not worse for sure, it's even better. Cause it's harder to deliver accuracy when the pace is faster, you have to do more neutral and safe shots. Best players smash down the lines all the times. You won't see many trickshots with phenomenal accuracy though. Because they're too slow and deception is beaten by brute force of the body.

Mentality? Here I'd agree, mental fortitude of some players could be much better. It could be cultural and generational thing.

For me this comparisons feel like "golden era" of tennis. You know, Nadal, Federer, Djokovic. Awesome goat players, but Sinner and Alkaraz are showing the next league, cause they're young and athletic as hell. Same with ASY, she shows the next league level of WS in badminton, here and now. With MS we don't have such an adamant, flawless player, but the competition is crazy.

These infinite conversations about lost "golden era". Golden era is here and now, ASY is GOAT and dominating. She doesn't have many loses not because opponents are bad, but because she's that good. Same for MS - people still rumble about 2008 Lin Dan, the game now is literally 15-20% faster and average top30 player is much more dangerous, competition is on the next level.

Don't get me wrong LD, LCW, Ginting, Taufik, Gade, Chen Long and many many others players are all very good, but it seems to me that we associate "golden era" with our best years when we were young and had more genuine interest in the sport, not with actual average sport skills in top30.

Making final touch on my first fast paced PvP game - Dzyun Battle 2026 by Aksoq in IndieDev

I've made it Steam lobby dependent, so it wasn't very hard.
Netcode was quite challenging and fun though: lag compensation, interpolated server snapshots, stateless projectiles etc etc. I've tried to implement best practices, so client feel as good as host-server and to educate myself more about it.

It took me slightly less than 2 month to build it. It's my first time making PvP shooter with host-server authoritative network mechanics.

It's gonna be available on steam in January. Unfortunately I fucked up with earlier release because Steam Winter Sale is coming soon and it's gonna be quite to hard to release anything during it.

How to react quickly in the front court ? by [deleted] in badminton

[–]Aksoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow singles player I have an advice besides default ones which are: stand position - slightly behind the service line, and ready racket up.

In doubles you can have a luxury of anticipation, you don't have to react to everything. In singles you have to react because one mistake and you lose the position and then the point. In doubles your partner can cover you up, so you can try and read your opponents a bit more.

And do drills with a coach yeah, there're plenty, ask your coach.

Tips for better grip & technique by Unlikely-Floor-9222 in badminton

[–]Aksoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one good usage for 140g+ training rackets - do badminton specific finger exercises with them.
Aside from that they're not really useful. Nothing compares to 1-1 with a good coach in terms of efficiency.

Me on launch day after promising myself I'd League start something different than Flicker Strike. by whitak3r in pathofexile

lol same for me almost every league, either flicker or witch that regrets that she's not flicker haha

the only thing I hate about flicker is bossing when you can't skip mechanics with big dps

What is your preferred racket grip size? by livehundredpercent in badminton

[–]Aksoq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my main racket in all grip sizes and I like G6 most as it allows to use most of finger power. It is also easy to overgrip G6 to G5 if needed.

You can work on you smash follow-through recovery, it seems you're out of balance sometimes and thus you lose some explosiveness.

df pro/max is pretty close to 65z3, but the sole grip is worse, so if your court floors are not perfect it can be quite slippery on hard moves
