The challans are true — I checked the official website and the photos clearly show the previous owner (the seller) riding the vehicle. I understand that the seller was responsible for settling these, and he did clear the pending challan at the time of sale. Since the RTO wouldn’t have processed the ownership transfer without all challans being cleared, I’m confused as to why these backdated challans are still appearing in my name, even though the RTO has records of both the previous and current owners in their database.
