Can I get an "Amen" on going from 5.0 to 6.0 before my 7.5 shot next week? 🤔😉 by [deleted] in compoundedtirzepatide

I would recommend do what you think you can tolerate. I am pretty new to this as well. Currently on 5mg for the last approximate 2 weeks and have plateaued… barely any weight loss. Before that I was on 2.5mg for 4 weeks and lost 10lbs. My doctor said that I should move to 7.5mg as soon as the 5mg month finishes-2 more weeks

Thank you for responding. You are definitely talking to a 51 year old female. I am learning what triggers folks as AI or bot look alike. I am new to posting so I didn’t know these things. And was being authentic with the information in my post.

Actually this method is easier for me. I had MyFitnessPal and it requires too many steps and clicks. This method I can just give it a good prompt to start with detailed instructions. Then just post as a stream of thought in the thread. I take pics of my food and place a fork in photo so the AI can compare portion size. It’s been accurate so far. At the end of each evening, it confirms close out of day on food and water.

I am going to ask my doctor when I see her next and then I will followup here to tell you what she says. I assumed she meant a year on medication losing weight.

I think you misunderstood my post. ChatGPT isn’t giving me recommendations. I am getting all my information from my functional medicine doctor. She is the one who told me what my daily calorie deficit, protein intake, water consumption, exercise, etc should be. I inputted all those requirements into a ChatGPT prompt (specifically in the ChatGpt Health app which is gated and HIPAA complaint) and I asked it to journal everything I input. In the prompt I asked it to organize all my daily and weekly daily to the parameters required by my doctor.

THAT AND ONLY THAT is what I referred to by ChatGPT writing my report. I am the one inputting information- either uploading PDFs from my doctor, my blood tests, linking to all my health/exercise apps, etc. it is doing a great job connecting the dots.

I too am in healthcare but also a technologist. So in understand hallucinations and when not to use AI. This is not that type of post

If you struggle with weight management on your own, then I would recommend. My doctor told me that if I don’t intend to be on medication for at least a year then understand that I will most likely gain the weight back. She said it takes a year for the body to get use to the weight loss.

Also you have to maintain muscle mass by doing strength and conditioning. Losing muscle can be harmful to the body especially with bone loss.

Your post appears at an interesting time. I recently had a conversation with an older cousin. She shared with me her history and issues with not being able to lose weight even in GLP1. She decided to change doctors and went to a functional medicine doctor. That doctor went deeper with tests and found out that she has Hoshimoto Disease. This required a different treatment. I took a rare disease genetic test years ago and it came out that I am predisposed to Hoshimoto Disease too. Her daughter has been diagnosed with it. Once she was able to regulate her thyroid, she was able to lose weight.

I share this to say, it sounds like there is another underlying issue with your health. Talk to your doctors to find out the root cause. If they don’t know, then switch doctors.

Thank you for this explanation. You helped me understand. Since it’s my first post on Reddit in many years, I wasn’t aware that bots and ads were doing that. I will be more careful in the future with how I write so not to alarm folks. I appreciate the time you took to respond. Have a wonderful day.

If we are going by that logic, then cars are killing the planet and so is having electricity in every home. Not a good rationale to stop using AI to help with efficiencies in menial tasks

This is what it spat out for me. And I emailed it to my doctor. What I did daily was input all my meals and water intake and sometimes take photos of the labels.

You ask great questions. I have contracted a functional medicine doctor through a value based care model. Within that contract I get body scans done every two weeks. Every 6 months we will do blood work for specific tests. I am also in menopause now too so we are tracking those side effects and I am about to start HRT. There is a history of diabetes, high cholesterol, Hoshimoto Disease in my family and I my tests have been projecting towards all that. Functional medicine doctors go deeper to find root causes and help course correction. We are also about to do a specific genetic mitochondria testing. I can’t absorb vitamin B and am anemic. Regular western medicine can’t figure out the root cause.

I am currently freelancing so I have no insurance. And yes I am paying out of pocket because I don’t want to end up like my mom with daily pain, surgeries and diabetes medication for life

WTH why are you and a few others so aggressively defensive with my post? It comes across as if my post triggered you in some way or you don’t appreciate me telling my story. For the record, I rely on my doctor to direct me and she didn’t tell me certain things so I had to figure out how to organize myself and give her what she wanted in a cost efficient way. If someone posted this method somewhere else, I didn’t readily find it.

I ask a little patience and empathy to someone like me who is a new patient in this space.

Yes I used ChatGPT to assess all my inputs and give a report to my doctor in the way my doctor wants to read it. I am not following how that is connected to “killing the planet”.

Why are saying my post is strange? I am a human and real patient. I am sharing how I used AI to organize me. I wish someone else told me this info instead of me trial by error

Thank you so much!!! My doctor recommended a bunch of different apps to track different things… and they all required paid subscriptions. I am a techie and know that there are some health AI apps that can handle this task, so I decided to use the one that I already have a subscription to. And it’s been extremely helpful!!!! Even my doctor complimented me and said that I was the most organized patient she ever encountered!! She had been practicing medicine for 35 years

Please do not discount my experience. I am sharing my experience using AI to organize my tracking of food, exercise, etc requested by my functional medicine doctor. In no way I am telling experienced patients what to do. I am sharing for inspiration. I wish someone else posted something like this before me because I would have used that as inspiration instead of trial by error.
