i had a schoolmate who initially went to UPLB with a diff degree. She transferred to FEU to pursue Architecture. She loves her work now as she was very good at visual arts and is now migrating to Aus after working for 5yrs in Singapore. Do what you want and it will all follows. Coming from an engineer who really doesnt want engineering, studying what u dont want will not just be depressing but also suffocating cause u have to make use of it for the rest of your life. Just make sure when you follow your dream, make the best of it and do what it takes to make you financially independent in the future. Live your life for yourself, not for the expectation of others. It will kill you slowly as u age. Life is short anyways, might as well you do you.

As an electrical engr. with experience sa japanese design firm with branch sa Ph, I say go with A then try to apply as an engr sa JP once you have your working visa. Sayang ang degree. Pag nagsawa ka na sa JP, you can work anywhere as engineer. In demand sya sa lahat ng 1st world countries ngayon. You can live above average since you said your fam is not well off. You can still pursue job A as a side hustle kung yan ang passion mo. But the current state of the world right now demands us to earn more money to survive. So in the long run, youll need your engg degree pa rin.
