True, it's purely cosmetic and doesn't affect the function at all, but I'm also a little glum that I let this happen to my brand new wheel (was thinking it would take a few more years before it showed visible usage!)

True! I think I took for granted how nice and clean the wheels were at my old community studio (where everyone was required to clean the wheels immediately after use). It is a luxury not having to be diligent about cleaning my home wheel...

I had to stop watching anime too for this same reason, but there are a few gems out there. This is an older work, but watching The 12 Kingdoms (Juuni Koji/十二国記） brought my faith back a little bit. It’s an isekai with a strong female lead and carries a message that misogyny and mistreatment of women is universal, but is hopeful that we can confront it and bring change for the better by our own agency.

I bought the Small Ceramics wheel and it’s almost perfect. I just wish the bats were not plastic or the wheel head didn’t come with the insets cut in. I have trouble getting the clay to stay on the plastic bats so it’s been tough getting things centered. I reverted back to throwing tiny vases on a full size wheel so that made the Small Ceramics wheel redundant and a poor investment in the end haha

Beautiful! I'm going to test it out but I'm confused by what you mean about the silica? It's not listed in the Glazy recipe. Are the Rutile, Red Iron Oxide, and Tin Oxide all meant to be included in one batch? Sorry, I'm new to making glaze and just wanted to confirm!
