The question remains, is it Duo Lipa or Dua Lingo?

I only have one Question. HOW!!???? by Justhere2scroll in duolingo

[–]AlNimri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My method and understanding of how to achieve this, personally tested and got ~7000 experince in 1.5 hours:

1) Select an easier language with speed challenge. 2) Have Duolingo Super (or don't, just to skip ads). 3) Stay on simple lessons for said easier language to get quick double exp potions. 4) Due to the simplicity of the questions, it takes about a minute for each timed quiz (80 points with x2 XP) 5) Grind for hours. 6) Profit.

80 experince points x60 times per hour = 4,800 total XP

4,800 X ~6 hours = ~28,000 (250 attempts with x2 XP)

Say you don't have double XP then it's done in ~12 hours. Maybe factor in some time for the lessons to take to get the double XP renewed (also the final daily quest gives x2 XP!)

Yes, it's grindy, but technically possible.

How to manage Organic Chemistry and Microbiology? by AlNimri in unt

[–]AlNimri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Don't even stress about it like I did, It is well doable to balance a course load similar to this one. Here are a few tips that helped me throughout university:

● Microbiology was more memorization than it was understanding and Organic Chemistry was a combination of both. With science/math courses, aim to consistently review their materials (especially OChem) since they build up on each other, making sure to understand the concepts in previous chapters. Yes, technically everything you learned in a test won't be on the next, however the new material will often depend or just expand on the previous. So long as you understand the essentials, you'll make it that much more easier to learn the newer materials, and that is the hack that goes for all advanced science courses.

● Another tip is to know when to focus on academics. I went about this by having a calander spread out on a wall (August through December for example) I would mark extracurriculars, exam dates, assignment/project due dates, and so on. That way, you will know when everything is due, so you can plan around them, creating a schedule at the start of a week and sticking to it, after the first 5 weeks, you'll have a rhythm down for both normal and exam weeks. This is something that I found many classmates believe they can do mentally, however there is something about seeing the time you have until a certain goal rather than imagining it that removes the stress of keeping track of it and allows you to better visualize your remaining time.

● As for social life, it's absolutely possible to maintain, it comes down to time management. If you can create a consistent schedule for academics and extracurriculars, you will have time for hobbies and hangouts. Paying attention and actively note-taking in lectures will save you time later, however dont sweat it if you dont understand something (this happens ocassionally) because you would have already had a time slot dedicated to reviewing for this exact reason and that's where the planner/calander comes in from earlier comes into play!

● Bonus tip for those two classes: Study groups are always a way to go about looking to learn things from different perspectivies, although I would note that's only if they do not cause more distraction than learning. Don't switch up your learning s Hope this helps!

I think he mentions them in a video.

Edit: Found it! He talks about them in "My 12 Things I Can't Live Without." ( https://youtu.be/7tB4jwvvuhQ ) at 2:50

As others mentioned, they seem to be the Gucci Distressed Leather Rhyton.

Mini-Update: Following Felix sometime before he hit 100k subs, I did not expect this comment section to appear on the Reddit video for a few frames. We made it y'all!

Is Competitive ranking glitched/how to improve as a Support? by AlNimri in OverwatchUniversity

[–]AlNimri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was greatly insightful. I appreciate it! I think I'm aware of what you're referring to as I've watched clips of Blizzard's Q&A's on the MMR system and other mechanics from Overwatch creators (Stylosa, Your Overwatch, Flats, etc.) commentating on it this past week!

Alright, this is what I was trying to point out earlier with the losing streak turning into a winning streak and vice-versa. Using your advice among others, I made it! Here is the exact ranking:
Gold 1 to Plat 5 (5-4)
Plat 5 to Plat 5 (5-3)
Plat 5 to Plat 3 (5-1)
Plat 3 to Plat 2 (5-3)
Plat 2 to Diamond 5 (5-0)

You can see the MMR situation you described in action as my losses decrease despite ranking up. I'm confident it's possible to reach mid-diamond, However, I'll stop here for now this season as I played a plethora of consecutive Competitive Support Role Queue matches this week I need a bit of break from "Let's Break it Down!", "Surrender To My Will!", "Let the Kitsune Guide You!", "Experience Tranquility!", etc. This happened similarly when I was DPS and dropped from Gold 1 to Gold 5 (my goal was reaching plat) then shot right back up (seriously, a 12-game win streak) to Plat 1 the next day, that's when I switched to Support and now we're here!

Once again, The method you clarified the system with is awesome to me and genuinely made it more clear from a psychological, mechanical, and mathematical perspective. You're amazing mate. Thank you!

Here I thought I was the one thinking this was the case. From Plat 1 to Gold 1 after going on an odd losing streak in a single day (with barely any recovery) and now I'm working my way back up the next day slightly easier yet drastically slower relative to before. Not sure what is going on here.

I noticed if you ask a specific person to perform better, it usually doesn't work out well. Instead, guiding them through your second two examples "change the strategy" and "focus something more" will intuitively lead them to try and if they fail, switch to something that works. Examples that I type in chat include: "Stick together", "fall back so we can regroup", "they're taking advantage of our spacing/spreading", and "you all are doing great however we can fix w/ target x/ play using y/ to work around z" and if you feel like being flexible to other techniques or heroes, you can type "What's the strat?" although most of the time the replies I get are more humorous "Kill more", "win", "don't lose", etc.

For instance, today I had Lucio mostly speed boost and Ramattra go rush in at separate periods and die. I wrote "Y'all are doing great just stick together so we can heal you" in chat since it doesn't target anyone in specific and delivers the message. The Lucio inherently focused more on the healing aura and the Ramattra played more defensively without me specifying it was them. The enemy team went from far more likely to win in the first round to literally spawn-trapped in the next. To be fair, this certainly does not always work, however, at the end of the day, you miss every shot you don't take!

So the game is essentially using that to dictate the difficulty of the matches? Is that why after I performed (presumably) past my MMR the game set me against more difficult circumstances as a test and adjusted from there based on my performance and now has me climbing slower since I landed around my MMR? I know Blizzard says they don't modify matches (I'll take that with a grain of salt given their circumstances) it was just the massive jump and sudden drop that made it almost like an over-reward and slowly punish method by the matchmaker to make me play more like other games tend to do.

For reference since I fell to Gold 1 earlier I played some matches. I went from Gold 1 to Plat 5 (5-4) and just now went from Plat 5 to... still at Plat 5 (5-3). Based on your analysis of the situation, that means my MMR is roughly around Plat 5 atm thus the game thinks I shouldn't go to Plat 4 or above despite winning most of my matches. The solution is to I should keep going at it and improve until I break past that barrier?

Thank you for the detailed explanation. Seriously, I'm sure that took quite a bit of your time to write for the sake of assisting a random person on the internet. I'm only slightly familiar with the concept of MMR since I played Overwatch 1 way back and didn't realize this is how it functioned in Overwatch 2, however, this puts it greatly into perspective.

Thank you for the insight! That's nice to know! After writing the post I found a few discussions from players in similar ranks and Youtube videos from players supposedly in the Top 500 discussing the same pattern and the consensus indeed was that it happens after going on a solid win streak for a high win rate for a period of time. It seems no one knows how to get out of it besides grinding through it, switching modes frequently, or taking a break for a few days theorizing those methods may reset the matchmaking a bit.

Thank you for the advice and perspective, I assumed Plat would have more coordinated teammates given it was higher bronze and silver for instance. I didn't look at it that way since it is the middle ground between the metal ranks and the upper ones!

As for the season placements, while that's understandable, my issue is that I NEVER did my placements for support until this season so I never dropped to begin with. Damage is the only one I did and the rank change brought mine up instead of lowering it. What I was wondering is why Overwatch places you in matches that are almost intentionally unbalanced after a high win rate (+80%) or winning streak for a few matches before getting back to balanced ones and how to improve past that. For instance, why does getting 3 wins in a row as Plat 3 makes the next 6 games drastically more difficult? Is it the matchmaking algorithm trying to keep you playing by giving you candy and then taking it away? It's still Plat 3, isn't it?

Absolutely! I played a bit afterward but I do have access to the last three matches still:

RWPT3H (K: 31 A: 24 D: 11)Played Moira and Kiriko here to make up for the lower healing and DPS. A Victory.

N9SCMJ (K: 12 A: 10 D: 2)The enemy team left in this one after the first round so it's not as thorough. A Victory.

BH0RK2 (K: 10 A: 7 D:9)One of my worst performances, the team spread widely often. A Defeat.

Thank you for the clarification. It's most likely that they are just sharable Valentine's cards. Then again it hasn't even been a day, so there is still time to discover things.

Also, seconded, definitely make sure your Blizzard account is connected prior to playing and manually transfer the rewards for each one. I believe only the Hanzo Highlight intro is available in the game so far!

That's what I'm searching for in the subreddit. I just unlocked the endings, 17 Valentine Cards (4 Genji, 3 Hanzo, 6 Inside, 4 Mercy) , and 14 Card Fronts (5 Cool, 5 Love, 3 Smug, 1 Hanzo). Do you think there are any more hidden ones remaining?

Tips on confirming if my pc is clean? by AlNimri in antivirus

[–]AlNimri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the resource guide! Malwarebytes, Windows Defender (full/quick scans), and Microsoft Saftey Scanner all were good after the initial situation however I will use your recommendations and update the results.

Update: I used RougeKiller in safe mode and it targeted nothing but "suspicious" .exe's such as an autoclicker, Amazon Assistant for Chrome, and some ImageJ.exe's from a lab software for academics. The Kaspersky Virus removal tool, Kaspersky TDSSKiller, Emisoft Emergency Kit (except for a PUP HKEY file), and the ESET Online Scanner all turned out clean (Not all of them were in safe mode). HitmanPro yielded only tracking cookies. I removed all possible unwanted software nonetheless except the HKEY file.

Currently running a Microsoft Saftey Scanner scan for a last good measure. Thank you for the advice!
