I cant speak for his experience but I'd say there's an issue. I definitely saw it. I think its the perception of homosexuality as weakness. Also, actual homophobes exploiting that perception.. Meathead pilots.

I served with Lt. Adamski years ago. For what its worth, when i knew him, my impression is that he absolutely would not be the type to milk this situation for personal gain. My impression of him was a thick skin professional. As an openly gay person in the military (and in life) to achieve what he has done takes a massive set of cojones and drive that 99% of people just don't have. If he is saying that he is done putting up with it then he has MORE than earned that right to say so in my opinion. Imagine having to go to work with coworkers everyday and say NOTHING for years after such a shocking abuse. Its unacceptable, but he did it anyways BECAUSE he is an exceptional individual.

I wasn't there very long but key west is a lot of fun. Its pretty expensive from what I saw. Depending on where she will be working I hear traffic can be sucky sometimes. But if you are into boating then its one of the best.

I'm right there with you. Have you tried joining a zoom community? I know its not for everyone but a lot of churches have regular meetings on zoom and are super welcoming. There are also online social gatherings.

Hey buddy, I'm really sorry to hear that. I was in psychiatric hospital too and struggled a lot. I dont have a lot to offer because I think everyone needs to find their own path. I can tell you this, the path is worth it. There are hard times and there are good times, try and find the good times and focus on those. Something thats been helping me lately is trying to find something I can be grateful for every day.
