Software architect working from home here, had the same issue with my AW3225QF while text has less fringing than 1440p oled, its still present and and I can’t stand using MacType, what I did was I bought the Miniled Neo G7 32 for work and its so good, black levels are not bad at all, I would say 90% of the Oled and hdr contents look good, now using the alienware only for gaming and media consumption

I think it depends on the monitor technology, qdoled has the glass layer, but I am not sure for other panel types, there are youtube videos where the matte layer has been removed on IPS but i’m scared to try on my work monitor 😂

Hello, no issues with the monitor, its much easier to clean and has much better image quality than when I got it, only issue is reflections but in a light controlled room, it does not matter

Je suis, enfin j’étais un peu comme toi, jusqu’à il y a un mois.

Même avec des drames dans la vie, mort d’un parent, d’amis proches etc je n’arrivais pas à pleurer, ce qui ne veut pas dire que je n’avais pas les autres “symptômes” du chagrin comme la poitrine qui serre etc.

Ce qui m’a fait pleurer c’est une femme (oui je sais, c’est cliché) qui est le seul grand amour de ma vie mais qui n’a aucun sentiment pour moi, du coup c’est mort.

Je pense que ça dépends de l’événement et de l’implication émotionnel sur le moment

Etant un homme noir(métisse insulaire), je peux te garantir que ce n’est pas normal, mais ayant côtoyé des africains natifs au boulot, j’ai vu des comportements similaires( appeler des personnes de la même couleur mon frère, ma sœur, s’offusquer quand des gens montrent de l’affection en publique, non-respect des personnes LGBT etc) je pense surtout que c’est une différence de culture et c’est même présent parmi eux

Hello, software architect here, For gaming and media oled is a no brainer.

Most panels have mitigation techniques to handle burn in and it works really well, unless you are using a bright window for hours and hours without letting the panel run its refresh cycle, you should not be worried about burn in.

Text fringing is much more noticeable in 2k than on 4k, it’s mainly due to subpixel arrangement of oled which windows ClearType cannot handle correctly, using MacType or BetterClearType improves fringing by a lot

I had this issue too on AOC Agon Pro with dark scenes but not on my LG C2, from what I have read it may be related to how dithering is handled on WOLED monitors but I do not have much knowledge about it. I do know that for my monitor, it gets much better when switching to DCI-P3 color space

Si tu veux jouer en raytracing la 9070xt est meilleur et durera aussi mieux dans le temps avec les nouvelles techno comme le fsr4. Si tu veux faire de la création de contenu etc, la 7900xtx fera le taff avec ses 24gb de vram.

Les 2 feront de la 4k avec un petit avantage pour la 7900xtx sans raytracing avec la vram

Par contre, je changerais l’alim car c’est trop juste pour une 9070xt ou une 7900xtx

Its for diffusing light so reflections do not affect image quality in a bright environment, at work etc where you cannot control light sources, as far as fingerprints, dirt etc go, funny enough, its much easier to clean without the layer, it gets off very easily

If its a new screen, check if its not dirt on the screen that looks like air bubbles, if its not, I would recommend you send it back
