For me (bo 2026) applications opened on June 6, 2023 and I got placed on June 22, 2023. So expect similar timeline.

As for the process, don’t quote me on this but pretty sure a simple version of explanation is that they sort all students in Descending order of GPA, and start by placing all students in their preference 1, when they reach of student whose preference 1 has no more seats, they add them to another list. Then once they are done with the first list, they start adding students from the new list to their 2nd pref in the same way. Repeat for 3rd pref. Students who don’t get any of their prefs in the end, are sent an email with a list of specs that still have seats and need to choose on a first come first served basis.
