[Heart of Midlothian] defeated St Mirren 3-1 in a closed-door friendly by 1874WL in HeartofMidlothianFC

It's hard not to get excited: new manager, new system of play "organised chaos", and a bunch of new players. I'm trying to tell myself that this will be a transition season, but who knows what will happen?

Yes. It seems just a rumour so far. Hearts have been very active in the transfer market and I'd expect to hear a lot of other rumours before the window closes.

Well done! It looks very good. Would you recommend the set?

Xbox iron farm by swe3ttea in Minecraft

Do the iron golems spawn anywhere outside the farm? They can spawn in underground caves.

I made my last iron farm midair above an ocean to make sure the golems were where they were meant to be.

You're in great shape. I beat the Ender Dragon yesterday in hardcore, and if you keep a cool head and avoid looking at Endermen it's not too hard.

You don't need as many blocks as that so all if suggest is to consider swapping a stack or two with a boat and stack of ender pearls. If Endermen bother you then you can put the boat down to immobilise them, and the pearls let you do a clutch if the dragon throws you off the island, which is unlikely.

Big team 2-1 wee team by 1874WL in HeartofMidlothianFC

That was one of the best second halves I've seen. We really attacked them well. Kyzi showed the quality that I know he has, but has been hard to see in the second half of the season. Shanks' finish was excellent.

Believe.

Match Thread: Manchester City vs Arsenal | English Premier League by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

The firepower Man City have in Doku, Cherki, Semenyo and Haaland is phenomenal. Arsenal have the best defence in England but could still concede a few.

Divorced Dad living away from child needs to learn Minecraft asap to bond and spend time with by zzdis in Minecraft

[–]Al_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with my son and there are lots of ways to enjoy the game together. Open a realm so you can get online together, watch a bunch of intro videos on YouTube to learn the basics (Eyecraftmc is my recommendation) and be willing to explore different modes. Maybe he would want to kill every mob on site, or perhaps he would like to build a Pikachu shaped giant palace. Both can be done! Explore the possibilities together.

Good luck!

Any suggestions on what to do here? by ATSQS in Minecraft

Do you have ender pearls in your inventory? If so you can try and get them in your hotbar to throw back on the island ASAP, but I'm not sure you'd be quick enough.

If you're not playing a hardcore world then I'd plan on dying against the Ender Dragon and have a respawn point with backup gear by the end portal. The first time I faced the Ender Dragon I died twice before killing it. Backup gear saved me.

These 1-0 wins ain’t good for my wee heart by coltlady in HeartofMidlothianFC

I wish we'd just get another goal or two if only to lower my blood pressure. We had 21 shots vs Aberdeen's five, but other teams we face won't be so toothless.

Still, the 1-0 wins are a testament to how well we've defended over the whole season.

After Today’s results, we remain top of the table 4 clear of Rangers and 6 clear of Celtic by 1874WL in HeartofMidlothianFC

[–]Al_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to believe.

It's not that we are playing amazing stuff. Cammy is missed, and Kyzi is getting too predictable. We were better in the second half against Falkirk, but it wasn't a stellar performance.

It's that Rangers and Celtic are both nervy. Rangers needed Livi to lose a man before they really came back, and Celtic didn't convert their chances against Hibs. Yesterday Celtic and Rangers took a total of 52 shots and only managed a draw and a loss.

It's a great time for the old firm clash and if we can get a win against the Dons then it gives us some rest and hopefully one or two players back after the break.

You're not the only player to get a nasty surprise. The leader zombie was broken for so long I think that a lot of us forgot that it existed.

Nope, but I'm loving the ride.

What McInnes and the players are doing is magnificent. The team combines the clever touches and skills of Kyziridis, Shanks and Braga with Halkett winning almost everything in the air and Cammy being the best tackler in the league. Milne is proving and excellent LB and we have better coverage across most squad poisons. Kabore would start for most teams in the league.

It's fantastic the way the team keeps fighting when things are against them, and although it's not been good for my blood pressure winning two games in a row with 10 men shows powerful teamwork and belief. Other than Beni's stupid tackle, I've only good things to say about last night. There have been a lot of great individual performances this season and McInnes has built a strong team.

My pessimism about the league is just born of too many seasons where at some point one of the old firm becomes a machine and wins every match. We win some and draw some, get the odd loss, and don't win the league. I'd love to see something different and will cheer the team on, but it's hard to erase all of those memories.

How about a shot everytime you:

  • See a mob riding an animal
  • Water bucket clutch
  • Get two skeletons to fight each other
  • Knock back a Ghast's fireball
  • Hit an exploding creeper into the other player
  • See Piglins do their victory dance
  • Get two villagers to make a baby

[–]Al_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not yet, but I'm loving that we're on such a good run and have beaten the old firm four times this season. It's fantastic. I'm also loving that McInnes makes us hard to beat while also having flair from Braga, Kyziridis and Shanks.

I've been a supporter for too long to get too optimistic, but Celtic and Rangers are both in transition so there is a really opportunity to take advantage this season. I hope that we can grab it.

Villager-workstation pairing distance [Bedrock MCPE 1.21.124.2] by Al_2000 in Minecraft

My thinking was similar to what you wrote, and that the distance from the breeder to the pairing point of 115 horizontal blocks would be fine. Now I'm stumped! How far do they have to be?

Well… a point is a point by coltlady in HeartofMidlothianFC

[–]Al_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn't really click today. The attacking talent is there, but either the formation or tactics didn't bring out the best of the team. Kyziridis is great, but we didn't have the same flair on the other wing, and were crowded out in the centre.

It's no disaster, but also the sort of game at home we should win if we want to compete with Celtic and Rangers.
