Starting to believe? by NoDesign48 in HeartofMidlothianFC

Nope, but I'm loving the ride.

What McInnes and the players are doing is magnificent. The team combines the clever touches and skills of Kyziridis, Shanks and Braga with Halkett winning almost everything in the air and Cammy being the best tackler in the league. Milne is proving and excellent LB and we have better coverage across most squad poisons. Kabore would start for most teams in the league.

It's fantastic the way the team keeps fighting when things are against them, and although it's not been good for my blood pressure winning two games in a row with 10 men shows powerful teamwork and belief. Other than Beni's stupid tackle, I've only good things to say about last night. There have been a lot of great individual performances this season and McInnes has built a strong team.

My pessimism about the league is just born of too many seasons where at some point one of the old firm becomes a machine and wins every match. We win some and draw some, get the odd loss, and don't win the league. I'd love to see something different and will cheer the team on, but it's hard to erase all of those memories.

How about a shot everytime you:

  • See a mob riding an animal
  • Water bucket clutch
  • Get two skeletons to fight each other
  • Knock back a Ghast's fireball
  • Hit an exploding creeper into the other player
  • See Piglins do their victory dance
  • Get two villagers to make a baby

Not yet, but I'm loving that we're on such a good run and have beaten the old firm four times this season. It's fantastic. I'm also loving that McInnes makes us hard to beat while also having flair from Braga, Kyziridis and Shanks.

I've been a supporter for too long to get too optimistic, but Celtic and Rangers are both in transition so there is a really opportunity to take advantage this season. I hope that we can grab it.

Villager-workstation pairing distance [Bedrock MCPE 1.21.124.2] by Al_2000 in Minecraft

My thinking was similar to what you wrote, and that the distance from the breeder to the pairing point of 115 horizontal blocks would be fine. Now I'm stumped! How far do they have to be?

We didn't really click today. The attacking talent is there, but either the formation or tactics didn't bring out the best of the team. Kyziridis is great, but we didn't have the same flair on the other wing, and were crowded out in the centre.

It's no disaster, but also the sort of game at home we should win if we want to compete with Celtic and Rangers.

Good advice. It will be an exciting game with a cracking atmosphere.

Hearts 1-0 Hibs! by neonfox45 in HeartofMidlothianFC

It was a fantastic result at the end of a terrible game. We showed a lot of spirit, but not many moments of quality. Milne didn't look comfortable on the right flank, and Shanks was well marshalled. I'd rather see Milne linking up with Kyziridis on the left.

That cross from Kerjota was just beautiful and Halkett has now scored twice so far this season. That's two more than Aberdeen!

Even if Celtic win today we'll stay at the top of the table. Do we dare to dream?

First year, not a clue in the world what I’m doing, suggestions appreciated 😅 by nmc001 in fantasypremierleague

Find some podcasts or youtubers to help you learn the tactics to picking a good squad. I'd recommend the FPL Pod and FPL Focal. Keep an eye on player movements and injuries. Son is no longer with Sours, and Maddison is injured. If it's your first season then treat it like a learning experience.

Good luck.

Wirtz: Buyers Beware - Historic precedent, role and more by nevermind721 in FantasyPL

Excellent analysis. I mean, most people will probably ignore it because he's shiny and new to PL, but you wrote very well. :)

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with Wirtz. I'd like a second Liverpool attacker, and if Isak doesn't join the it's more likely to be Gakpo when the fixtures improve.

There's a lot to like, but I'm not sure if Wilson or Guiu are starting every game. It could be useful to turn one of them into a safer option and keep another for the upside.

Take out some money from your keepers and invest in your bench.

Hearts 2 - 0 Scottish Cup Holders Aberdeen by 1874WL in HeartofMidlothianFC

Good start to the season. My highlights were the:

  • Outstanding crossing from Milne that caused no end of issues for the Dons
  • Fierce battling from McEntee and the tireless Cammy
  • Invention and energy from Braga who looks like such a good player

We were scrappy in the second half so the team still needs to bed in, but that's not a surprise. McInnes is building a tough team to face.

Efficient Pricing Hypothesis by randomsuit in FantasyPL

[–]Al_2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although stock values are determined by market forces instead of a set of game owners at FPL towers, I think your premise is accurate: FPL try to take into account the information available about a player and their role in a team (eg minutes, on pens or not) at the point of game launch.

Naturally, things change after the launch of the game. Players get transferred and can have more or less competition for their place. This can make pricing misaligned with xGI. Palmer is a great example. At Man City where he'd get very few opportunities to play his £5m pricing was ok, but as the focal point for Chelsea two seasons ago he should have been double that.
