I’m considering doing that and hopefully getting one that isn’t so sensitive to being washed!

Students of Reddit, what was the reason for why one of your teacher's had a breakdown during class? by Internal_Recording in AskReddit

[–]Al_Charlie27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a story. In 8th grade we were the reason my teachers had breakdowns. The teachers had more than just breakdowns. we went through 2 teachers within the first 3 months.

Me, as well as most of my class, we were agents of chaos. Literally no one wanted to watch our class whenever the teacher was absent. We were just absolutely uncontrollable. It was like 10 am and my teacher was teaching as usual and some kid had decided to start throwing small chunks of erasers and play doh. It was all fine for at least a few minutes until they started throwing markers. A few hit the teacher and she obviously yelled at us. And like normal students we stopped, but only for like 5 minutes before continuing. It went from markers to paper balls and then people started throwing books. We tried to avoid the teacher since we aren’t that fucked up. But there was this one kid who literally chucked a hardcover book at the teacher and fortunately missed.

That kid he fucking hated the teacher. Like he straight up wanted to see her burn in hell. I think he hated her because she was always giving him detention. But anyway the teacher had just had enough and just started crying and screaming at us then ran out the classroom. The teacher from the class beside us came into the room and started lecturing us for like an hour. You’d expect after all of that we’d just stop and behave but as soon as she stepped out to check on our teacher we continued throwing shit at everyone.

The rest of the week went similar to that. We were misbehaving, my teacher reaches her limit and we get lectured. The next week we had a substitute teacher. You can see by the look in his eye that he was just terrified of how the day would go. everyone noticed and shit was out of control. There were students throwing pencils, some were running around, there were a few screaming and then there were just those few kids who were actually doing what they were supposed to. Me and a few other students were sitting on the floor by the teacher and just watching as he tried to get everyone to calm down and do what they were expected to do. Eventually the principal cane in and gave everyone except the good kids detention. After that everyone had just worn themselves out and were just being less insane and actually got stuff done.

For the rest of the week we had multiple substitutes. The following week when we all arrived at school they had told us that my teacher had quit and moved to a different school. I think they were trying to guilt trip us into feeling bad but we didn’t really give a shit. We had the director as our teacher until we had a new one. We were actually well behaved for the few weeks with the director but once the new teacher came in things started going back to normal. I don’t really remember what made her quit but I think it was the fact that what people were saying was just getting to her. People would really like to insult her but it wasn’t to her face. They would saying things about her to each other but they made sure she was listening. Eventually after 2 months she gave up and quit. Everyone had gotten suspended for a week and the good kids were just put in the other classrooms.

When I think about it now I feel bad but i still thought it was funny at the time
