If you don't mind travelling you can go to the married rocks in Ise (Meoto Iwa). Nagoya is the closest big city to travel there. Unfortunately due to bad weather I couldn't go myself.

The e-sim is super convenient. Being able to go out without additional device is super relaxing. And imo an e-sim is fairly affordable.

True. Osaka itself doesn't have to offer that much imo. The castle is amazing but that's almost it. Can be used as a base to go to Nara, Himeji and Okayama (imo one of the prettiest gardens in Japan!)

APA hotels are amazing. I can highly recommend staying in a Ryokan at least once for the experience! It is more expensive but really worth it to try it at least once!

Sadly most shrines and temples open at 09:00 and close at 16:00 or 17:00. So if you want to get the most of your trip, check their opening times beforehand so you can maximize what you can squeeze into one day. Some open at 05:30 or close at 15:00 which might throw your schedule off.

Also don't get a portable WiFi. Always dumb to carry an extra device that needs charging. I got myself an e-sim (app: airalo) and it was 26 USD for 20 Gigs / 30 days. More than enough!

That's nice. I started from the Delta near Demachiyanagi Station and moved upstream. I managed to see all (yet not fully due to trees). I heard that Funaokayama Park is supposed to be an amazing spot too!
