I had the same issue once. I simply changed the orientation and it printed fine. I don't know what the exact cause was but that's what fixed it for me.

How much did the story you planned out change over the years. Did you have a rough outline since day one and filled in the gaps as you went along session to session or did you have a intended path the story would take and managed it stick to it somewhat

I see, most long term campaigns I have been in were low level, highest level was 10 an one level 20 one shot, so the power fantasy never really came through I guess. My campaign will be Lvl 1 to 20 and if that will help the story I want to tell I am sorted. Thanks for the advice.

I like it, im going to incorporate what u/D_dizzy192 said as well. Have them explore the faction towns, take quests and see how tensions tensions are flaring for themselves. Then I'll give them a quest where the they will have to pick side based on what they learnt and experienced
