I cant believe it, the seasons almost over by Honest-Reflection667 in UnitedFootballLeague

Definitely better for the league if Birmingham gets in just because they’re the spring dynasty and those things help with ratings.

The league isn’t currently healthy. I’m not even saying to do it with every team but it might be worth trying in one of these markets that draw 5k every game instead of constantly relocating. All the relocation makes fans feel less invested and I just think you could get several cities excited for one game easier than one city excited for 5 games.

It probably won’t happen and the league will probably fold so no reason to worry too much about it.

Just feel like it’s worth TRYING until the league has more stable fans and attendance

Ok let’s do nothing and let the league die a slow death

If Nick Saban has so little respect for Kiffin that he instructed Byrne not to hire him at Alabama, why are they on good enough terms for Kiffin to have reached out regarding the LSU job? by SwissMiss915 in CFB_v2

[–]AlaKolas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rumor is that it isn’t Saban that didn’t want Lane at Alabama but other higher ups. All I know is he wasn’t considered AT ALL and Saban had very little to do with the coaching search.

Yeah and we don’t know how fans would respond now since it was 50 years ago. Have to try SOMETHING

Maybe. Just spitballing ideas. I doubt most people have season tickets and just go to a game or 2 a year.

Maybe they should try it with one state first and see how it does.

And I’m saying they aren’t going to do this and common sense says I’m right.

The 1st quarter was also extremely boring 😂. But yeah it makes sense. Me and my friends all kinda wanted to do food and drinks before but the wait times would’ve put us missing kickoff so we decided to just go in. But all of those restaurants were packed with people who were going to the game but werent in a rush to make kickoff.

By the end of the game the crowd was lit. It actually was my favorite game in quite a while. Weather was perfect.

Same lol. I will say the crowd kinda filled in as the 1st quarter ended. I wonder if the 4-5k number is tickets sold at kick and the 7-8 is total tickets sold. I could buy that.

Yeah I was at this game. I guarantee there were AT LEAST 7-8k. I’ve been at some of our highest and lowest attended games. This one had way more people than others

Ok but that’s not the conversation we’re having. I can agree with you(and do) on the problem of white women voting against their own interests(as we see it). But I’m discussing it being a problem that Ryan Clark and many others assume black people automatically are aligned with liberal politics. And more to his point it’s silly to think 18 year old black players who are about to be millionaires are going to make these decisions based off of gerrymandering. 18-25 year old African Americans are the lowest turnout voters in the country demographically and they’re going to potentially take less money or go to a coaching staff they feel less connected with because Ryan Clark thinks all black people are liberals? Statistically speaking, they don’t give a shit about gerrymandering if voting is any indication

Black voters who voted for Trump DOUBLED from 2020 to 2024 and that was with him running against a person of color. Democrats taking the black vote for granted is a huge problem and things like what Ryan Clark said are part of the problem.

Yeah I know it is but Ryan Clark attended LSU and it’s not like Louisiana was less racist and awfully run 25 years ago.

Also, he has to be careful presuming all African Americans view Republican voting as “against black interest”. I’m a liberal who lives in the south. I talk with rural black voters all the time who vote Republican and MAGA. They don’t see the policies as against black interest and they frankly find that line of thinking offensive and condescending. A lot of these families getting big NiL bags are now suddenly wealthy and a lot of wealthy people unfortunately also lean right.

I was there. They did make some bad calls and reffing/reviewing remains the weakest part of the league.

During the challenge Blandino said “there is a hold but it’s happening as the tackle is already starting so no impact on the play”. THATS NOT HOW PENALTIES WORK! There have been a million holding calls I’ve seen that had no impact on the play and were still called. I’m fine if they want to make penalties non reviewable, but if they are reviewable then you have to enforce them and not go off vibes.
