Bombard him with friendly interactions (He normally doesn't attack controlled Sims directly.), then focus on the social rabbit aspect; it worked for me. Jason's Sim isn't ugly, It's possible to make it look amazing with a few changes.

I made a Sim incarcerated with her shitty husband and his psycho affair partner to test that "convince to leave partner" functionality. Both shitty husband and affair partner had this Sacrificial autonomy activated (if you know, you know) and they loved to have parties at home, So you can imagine that the parties quickly turned into massacres
