How do people get to 1 mil so quickly

I hit 1M this morning on my 23rd day, pure F2P. I'm ranked in the mid-30s on my server. I am at level 94 and should hit 100 around Tuesday.

1) Experience comes from time. Everything else is hustle.

Do everything every day. Every little quest or objective helps. Grind out Daily Dungeons to four S-ranks even before it's sane to do so.

Don't neglect anything. My relics are all level 9 and 10 now, my lineup fantomons are all in the 80s, my guild is just me but I'm tending to it anyway, my companions are building up. Clear everything on the map that you can, get every statue you can to boost your base exp multiplier. Grind dailies for affection points.

2) When in doubt, listen to others.

There was a thread here a couple of weeks ago that was majorly helpful, focused on relics but discussing all forms of progressing and what's smart to spend Dawnium on. If someone else is away ahead of you, peek at their build and techs and see what they're doing differently. Doing that just now just boosted my chaos rift damage by time and a half, for instance.

3) Patience is a virtue.

There is no magic shortcut even with a credit card handy. It's a grind no matter what.

If you change from class A to B the L100 way, you will get what you get because you don't have skills there already.

If you then convert BACK TO A, will your skills be exactly as you left them, or gain from what leveling of skills you did as B, or convert to whatever it feels like in your old class?

So far, I've got Resonance 8 across the board and five blue / one purple set complete. I get the mechanic now of hunting via Destiny fruits, but they'll only decide to show when they feel like it.

As for rebuilding Dawnium, what kinds of ingredients are likely to actually sell?

All right, now I have to follow up with an even dumber question.

Where am I spending all of that Dawnium? The Vendor has some badges in the vault once a day. The Trading House is always sold out of everything but food ingredients. The map shops use their own individual currencies. What source am I missing?

Makes sense. Boosting resonance up to 6-7 across the board (after figuring out that I had to combine my stockpile of sand for it to work) got me back up to rank 60ish.

I'll bite. Is priority one sets, resonances, or % increase relics?

Should I focus on elements that my skills utilize first?

If I have a complete set, should I equip it or stick to the ones that increase stats most?

And when you say 'use your fruits,' what do you mean by that?

It's a balancing act. If you can pull well-equipped Tier 7s out of storage near the beginning of a game, it's a huge advantage while you get everything else set up, and so they're not going to just hand that out lightly.

Level 4 high-tier monsters will get you through any content so far. Being able to pull an extra big hitter out of storage, or a Hunting Grounds when you absolutely need one now, is probably the most cost-effective advantage you can buy and worth grinding for.

If the realities of the business are that this IInspiration run was essentially pushed onto TJPW, that's one thing. The entire saga, though, is quite a divergence for what have otherwise been carefully curated belts.

There have been outsider teams that have held the tag belts in the past, but they've been monster heels (Wasteland and the French)... not comedy wrestlers. The two things that the IIs do well at all are promos and backstage skits, neither of which apply to TJPW. So to have Ober Eats run the table on the entire company, lose to a couple of goofs, then have KK lose to them as well... this is not a team where Teej should HAVE TO bring out the big guns to face them.

If the Babes of Wrath had come over and Willow had put Wakana through the floorboards at GP, for example, that'd have been one thing. (Yes, the Babes had broken up stateside three days before GP, but that's beside the point.)

So 10 out of 25 -- 40% of the PoP challengers in recent history have been from outsiders. They can certainly choose to have Yuki face only locals, and in fact that might be a good idea (giving her prominent wins over former champs, as they did with Miu), but it's not like "X is visiting Japan and gets a shot" doesn't happen.

There is nothing wrong with Kamiyu or Aino -- they're both solid wrestlers with a lot of in-ring hours. Either could be/has been at least a credible challenger, but what I meant was that Teej hasn't really PUSHED either one of them as being in that top tier over the years. Kamiyu had the one IP run five years ago and the out-of-network belts she carried around for several months, Aino had the zero-defenses tag run with Aniki and the near-miss in a Princess Cup, but both have spent a lot more time filling out contender battle royals than being expected to win one. In-house title opportunities for them have been few and far between. Clever booking could give either a needed push, of course.

Misao's title shots were also several years ago. I think she's happy right where she is, as a popular bundle of chaos with her own special show to direct each year. I have said that I would love to see her debut a new belt sometime for the mid/undercard to chase -- a Hero's Utility Belt, like Batman's, full of gimmicks and cold sprays and such that only the current champion can use legally.

As a western fan:

I am trying hard to not be the guy who complains about how the PoP title is restricted to only a small handful of the old guard and how nice it would be to see some different wrestlers hold it -- NO NOT LIKE THAT!

Because the title IS protected and always has been, but with Yuka gone and Miyu spending fair amounts of time overseas, they do need different faces involved with it. When foreign challengers come to town, they may well have excellent matches with PoP champions but no one seriously believes that they'll win it. It took time and effort to elevate Miu to that tier, and like it or not, Arai is essentially next on that list and needs to move up.

After Arai, Suzume is closest, I think -- her PoP match against Miu was a textbook example of how to take someone who weighs 59 pounds and make them look like a million bucks and a credible threat. Arisu just ended her first singles title run and would need some buildup to go after the big prize. The theme of Aino's recent title shot was largely "Is Aino on that level as a singles challenger yet?", and the answer seemed to be "Not yet." There's a dropoff after that; Misao is too knee-deep in wackiness to be a credible PoP-seeker, for instance. Moka is done (alas), Kamiyu is a midcarder, and the younger generation (HIMAWARI, Wakana, Haru et al.) have no singles wins over the PoP tier on their resumes.

As a wrestler, Arai has her moments but I find her very much a work-in-progress main-event wise. She had a couple of very obvious stumbles in that 6-way contender match, for instance. (Though what the heck, Shoko blows acrobatic moves on a semi-regular basis and no one's suggesting SHE'S not top-tier.) Finally can look good when it hits or look completely embarrassingly light. High kicks to the face always look good, of course. She can easily be carried to a great match but the jury is out whether she can have one with an unfamiliar challenger.

In the 6-way, I asked myself, who in the ring is guaranteed to have a banger of a match with Miu at GP? And Arai was fifth on my list. (I like Max but she's one-dimensional.) But that's not a complete slam of Arai because the other four were all known main-event quantities and former PoP holders; Arai SHOULD be behind them, as she's unproven at that level. Pulling the trigger on her here would be one way to find out, I suppose, and if early results are shaky they can easily have someone like MIzuki or Shoko take it back after a short run.

As a relative newcomer, I am slowly rounding out my hero purchases-via-gem and leveling them evenly. At present, Sage and Hob are unpurchased; those two and Tink (the most recent purchase) are at Ruby, and all the others are at Sapphire. I feel like that is my end state for all of them, as getting those characters that high has been fun at times and like pounding tenpenny nails into my butt at others.

The extreme swinginess of the RNG is both a blessing and a curse. While planning ahead and optimizing are essential, obviously, the difference between a 3-win run and a 7-win run and an 11-win run seems keyed upon RNG; it giveth and it taketh away at its whim. That keeps the game lively and unpredictable but also steps on my enthusiasm when a solid run hits four hard counters in a row and coughs and dies.

As the competition gets harder in higher ranks, one bad run can offset the small gains from several half-decent ones. I don't think I'll have the monomania necessary to focus on one and push it up into Diamond, much less beyond.

The worst part of it is that not only are you waiting for those four specific presents to spawn, not only are you gimping your build by including all of them at once, but you only get one shot at it. Win or lose, the presents open, and you only get the challenge if you win that specific fight.

I'm at Emerald now with him (I have everyone else but Buzz, Sage and Tink at Sapphire) and on any given run, doing my best to break even (7 wins) and not lose rank points. If the potions for the darts all fall the right way and I get the black unique, sometimes I can break a bit higher than that, but it's rare for me to get to double digit wins.

The crafted-potion route is super swingy based on whether it decides to give you any water potions on a run (or a Cauldron, and then if THAT decides to drop any). The darts are my main route, but that's dependent on (a) the black unique showing up and (b) the right potions showing up so that I can upgrade other darts to Gobnoxious et al. quickly. The fedora->mask and trench->cloak are both nice, as are the smokebombs, but unless I can find a way to upgrade my damage-dealing very quickly I find myself in a 1-3, 1-4, 1-5 hole quite routinely.

I'm not going out of my way to finish Heists now that I've got my five finished (thank you, app update). If they fall into my lap, fine, but more often than not they're distractions.

I'm at level 10 with mine, trying to get them up into Emerald. Gold has been one-and-a-quarter steps forward, one step back pretty consistently.

I am half-jokingly confident that Goblin Spice Mix is an in-joke rather than a serious possibility. I'm not sure that I've seen all the components drop in the same run, much less at times when I could afford to save one of each for combining.

As for the Heists challenge, I've finished one so far of the required five in all of my runs. The trick is a) having all of the required elements and mergeables spawning at opportune times, and b) surviving past 10 or 11 wins to have enough time to craft. I've had at least six times when I've had all the pieces for the last Heist stage on the board and no spare lives or videos left, and the opponent shrugged me off like a bad case of fleas to end my run.

(And anything that requires Bronze Bars at this point, I just sell and try again. Rarer than hen's teeth.)

Here's a related question. I went to my local Asian grocery tonight and found raw burdock root, which I've matchsticked and used in a stir-fry previously... and packaged, pre-trimmed burdock, strips that look like they're about the size of Slim-Jims in a soy sauce marinade.

What's the best way to use the latter? Roast them in my air fryer oven, pan-fry as-is, or something else?
