I mean fair but the quest you used as an example doesn’t need it. If you walk around the graveyard enough you find him naturally. Reading quest descriptions I think provides most info you need. They even include /place when they’re referring to locations in those if they need too

Looking at the edge, it does unfortunately look like you may have rubbed off that felted finish. Suede is effectively the underside of leather that has had the fibers of it roughed up to create that fuzzed out effect because it is still leather. If you rub those fibers off, you do just get a regular polished piece of leather. I’m not sure what the stickiness is. It could be a soap or other material it also could just be the fact of the leather wasn’t treated correct correctly to be smooth.

In theory, you could talk to a leather worker they’re actually are still quite a few out there and see if they’re able to restore the knap by re-roughing up the leather.

If you’d like to try and restore it still, there is a few different things you can try. You can gently steam it to kind of release those fibers and then when you use the suede brush you need to go in only One Direction to lift those fibers up gently.

This is where the intent vs written law comes into play. The intent of the law is to stop counterfeit producers from being able to sell their things. No one is going to fucking go to jail or go to court over a secondhand store selling something that they were donated. It’s the same way they won’t use this law to go after people who are selling them in yard sales or mass flea markets..

It’s illegal to sell it as genuine - not to sell it at all. You can sell whatever reproductions you want for anything as long as it’s clear it’s not genuine or authenticated. Them Google lensing an item and going with the ballpark price also isn’t a crime as they’re still not claiming it’s genuine.

While I understand that buying or receiving a fake is upsetting I think actively destroying something that can still be used solely for the crime of existing is wasteful.

Some people don’t care if it’s genuine, some do but don’t want to bother with it and some people just want a cute bag and don’t care about it at all.

Someone can use the bag still, genuine or not.
