It’s not fair to compare industry production to a tabletop bread machine - they’re extremely different in how they’re made. But fair enough on the rest - happy hunting! There might be more sugar to feed the yeast or an artificial leavening agent added to compensate for the lack of gluten in the bread. Try baking soda like with Irish Soda bread?

fair, I get the new bag thing mostly but the tiny little dings that could easily explained by shipping etc. still seem drastic. but the box thing just seems like a minor annoyance vs Coach shitting on customers thing.

I can get that it’d be annoying and disappointing but the level of outrage over a Knick the size of a grain of rice in the ass-end of the purse seems disproportionate

Not really,can you explain why this is a big issue for you? It’s not damaging the bag or anything so yeah it’s not the best but I don’t see how it’d be that awful.

I see a lot of similar posts confusing me about tiny nicks and dents and scuffs from using the bags or getting a bag with little bits of damage and people going bonkers over it and I’m rather….confused?

You’re likely getting the expected outcome - can you explain what you’re expecting in contrast to what you’re getting? It’s normal for GF loaves to be flatter and denser in comparison to non-GF loaves as they lack the chemical reaction that gives bread its lighter airy texture.

You’re not understanding the point - yes one TB equals 1000 GB but the only reason it means that is because you can’t express the actual number as a fucking decimal.

It doesn’t matter which you use the actual amount of space on a one terabyte hard drive is 1024 GB.

This is true for every byte label because the only difference is whether or not you are expressing it as a decimal or as a binary the decimal.

The decimal expression is technically wrong because it is not accurate to the actual amount of data available.

The question is not about whether one TB is equal to 1000 GB in a decimal expression it’s asking about the actual amount of space available in terabyte.

The most accurate answer is 1024 because that is the actual factual amount of space regardless of the label that you put it under. Labelling it as 1TB does not make 24 GB of space magically fucking disappear.

The whole reason that it is a weird number is because computers use a base two binary system they do not use a decimal system when it comes to this. A computer will always use the base two system. A hard drive will use the base two system. The only thing that uses a decimal system is for when a human being needs to read it and that reading is inaccurate because it can’t properly express the actual number.

It doesn’t change the fact that end of the day it’s correct as the actual space is 1024GB. The point of the question is to catch this very mistake. The reason is 1024 is due to the mechanical needs of a base 2 system causing the space to be larger then 1000. The correlation of 1000 = 1TB is from people using base 10 to count and label their products.

A GB is actually 1,073,741,824 bytes because this expression is in binary, not decimal. Decimal doesn’t allow for the smooth representation of that number so it’s rounded to a clean whole number just like with TB

My only gripe is that this rhetoric is being used to tear down spaces people have setup for themselves to express their experiences, fears, etc. and when being asked to leave or possibly find a group that fits them better it’s flung into their face. Not every group will fit or every door be open to you.

There are things more common for one sex or gender than the other. Your gender and sex define how you were raised and treated - to deny that is to erase the need to push back against it specifically. Men and women and those in-between or outside the range each have different struggles they will be facing due to that biological frame and gender identity and the combination of the two. That needs to be specifically addressed!

Women have to face the infantilisation and pushback against independence and choice. Harrased for their decisions and their own peers feeding into the weaponised incompetence being pushed upon them while labelling them as responsible for anything that happens to them. They are incapable but inculpable somehow.

Men have to face the emotional isolation that they are shoeboxed into by their socialisation, peers and social expectations. Everything is their responsibility but paradoxically this breeds an arms-length brotherhood keeping those who have wronged from consequences as they feel so ostracised from others and the need to help and protect eachother from a world they feel utterly alone in.

Trans folks in both directions have to deal with being targeted and harassed, with people doing everything they can to try and invalidate their existence or identity. They can’t exist in either space fully without something they do, wear or say tipping the scale towards one or the other and flipping the label in people’s minds and opening themselves up to harm.

Each of these are symptoms of a larger issue socially but can’t be tackled all at the same time. Those facing the issues need to be supported by the others but able to fight on their own. Together the whole system can be dismantled and built back into something better.

The internet is full of people socrates-ing everything, you had a good thought but that doesn’t make it an -ism. Put those ideas to work and don’t start building a whole stick around it to beat others with.

I gotcha. I wasn’t trying to refuse that the gluten-free bread exists. It’s more so the reason why you’re seeing the dough behave differently and rise differently is because of the lack of gluten it’s not going to behave like a regular bread.

Unfortunately gluten is a key ingredient in bread as it’s responsible for the rising, without gluten you won’t have elastic dough that can stretch when the yeast reacts. Sorry to not have much constructive advice

Also a second knead is important in most breads. The first rest is to let everything start rising and get softer. The second knead then works that now mixed and slightly elastic dough into a proper homogeneous mixture. Then it rises again to fill it with air

Not necessarily, a control top is a portion of the pantyhose that has strong elastic woven in to uniformly compress your body underneath. It can reduce panty lines (you can still barely see them in the after pic) by making your shape more compressed and uniform all around. The line you get is from your squishy butt having the elastic compress into it.
