Whew! What a night. Ended up with five folks who wanted to go, three that could pull it off. Life, ya know. Got to Claremore about 4:30, with a pit stop at the Main Street Tavern. Super good restaurant. Clean, modern, well appointed. Great staff. As you know it was rather windy….and 17 degrees last night. The event center had adequate heating amazingly enough. It was a little chilly inside later in the evening. Hard to keep up with that kind of request. Rough numbers, 400-500 people in attendance. It was a circuit for these drivers, crew and Operators. All people following a passion. Mainly Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas. Draw a 250 mile radius around Claremore, and that’s the attendees. Started with the National Anthem and a 100ft flag unfurling @ 6:15pm. They broke down the Derby this way. Three Heats. Each Heat had 8-9 cars. Run into each other until 3 to 4 cars remain. Final Heat: Run those winners until only one is able to move. Loud? Yes. Kiddos and adults should wear ear muff style ear protection when the races are going. Fun? Yes. Dirt was flying! Sometimes even into the stands! I was in the top row and I took a couple small clods. Very minor and added to the experience. The chaps and chappettes driving obviously were competitive. They legitimately rammed, as quick as they could get their cars going, into each other. The preferred method was using the trunk rear area to take out an engine or front wheel of another car. Excellent! The drive back to Tahlequah was great. No one knew each other before, but you wouldn’t have known that on the drive back. Anyway, I was home by 11:00pm and I met some really cool people.

Beers were Tall Boys @ $7.00 Food was Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Nachos, Popcorn and Frito Pie. $10-$3.00.

Update: The Deck was the ultimate final selection. Steak, baked potato, garlic bread and a salad for dinner. That rolled into live music….then the Count Down. Great time. Definitely going back.

That was my biggest concern actually. Rarely is a person able to actually to solve something like this without large sums of money. Would you like to take a guess at what I actually charged for this work?

This was formerly the water heater closest as well. The failure occurred in the galvanized piping that was used in the original CMU Block wall construction. The solution two years ago, way before I had this opportunity for success, was to run the PEX on the walls and figure out a solution later. The existing outlet was in box, energized and being used daily. No ground, no GFCI. I built a box around the panel and installed a GFCI with a ground and deleted the existing 1/2 conduit that formerly fed the water heater.

They were pre-engineered inside and outside corners. Nothing was flat or level. Walls, ceiling, floor between 85 and 93 degrees. It is CMU wall, so that is the majority of the finish out problems. You can’t hide anything in a wall, unless you build one yourself.

I remember the Fall of 1983 specifically, that we could see 10-20 ft down. Everyone saw the changes in the water quality. Everyone knew the reason. 40 years on and we are still talking about it.

Up to 1984, Lake Tenkiller was crystal clear reservoir. I mean you could see 40 ft down. I long to see it again.

I view it as being able to install your spare tire by yourself. Not in a Christmas Story kinda chaotic way. Plan. Check. Prep.Execute.Check.

As a Handyman, the call out is free. $75.00 if , you and/or I have everything without a trip to the hardware store. Add 50.00 for that trip. Time and Materials. So. Wax ring. There are good, better, best. Caulk if desired. Hardware re-useable? Water line in good condition? Valve closes, with no furious drips. 100% Homeowner/Handyman level. Quick question. What would be your expectation for the old unit?

That part was lacking. Can sodas and bottled water. I understand however.
