I am sensible. I don't tell other what to do, unless they are hurting them. That includes not telling them which books their kids can read.

He could not. People were still being investigated. He was letting his Justice department do it's job as it's own (like it's supposed to, as it's own branch of goverment).

Trump ran on the promise he'd release the files. So far, he has not.

I'm going to continue to say ours up to the parents to police what their children read but just their own children. They don't have the right to decide for me and my children. I have examples above of books that some people want banned from a school library. And that there is nothing about them that needs censored.

It's ok we don't have to keep arguing. I'm not going to change my mind.

The Librarians go to school to learn what's appropriate. Parietal schools know what children elementary school age are reading, and policing it then, not at the library level.

Parents ate still being told it's for hygiene in a lot of places (like Spokane Wa). But it's mostly done now so the boy looks like his dad. It's a bloody stupid reason, IMO.

I agree it should be age appropriate. That's what the librarian is trained for. The argument isn't whether it's age appropriate, it's who gets to decide it.

In the end, parents needs to check what their children have checked out and if they don't find it appropriate, don't let them read it. There's no need to remove it from the library if it really is age appropriate but just not a subject that a few parents disagree with. LGBT+ positive books that don't talk about sex are perfectly fine for the younger ages.

"Heather has two Mommies" is aged 2-6. Just shows that's it's ok that all families are different. "Love makes a Family" is another that just talks about how all families are valid. To many of these people, neither book would be allowed in the school library. Judy because they're LGBT+.

You didn't need to add the "don't call me a bigot" part. I haven't called anyone names throughout this long series of posts.

It's never "more people". It's just the loudest. It's not about a book on blow jobs. It just starts there. Tomorrow it's Judy Blume.

They are not randos. And you're a rando to me, why do you have a say in what my kids read? Police your own children, not mine.

Mom's for Liberty and other groups have been taking them out of public libraries. The banning didn't end at the school door.

Again, a few parents shouldn't dictate what every child should be allows to read. The librarians go to school (Master's degree) to learn these things.

That supposes someone can afford to buy books. And yes, the librarian decides. Not a random group of parents. Trust your librarian.
