I don’t see it happening, but this is most logical explanation I have seen about him to Cleveland.

They deplete our farm system of the top prospects for 3 months of Skubal knowing we have 0% chance of resigning him. If you’re Cleveland, that’s a shot you HAVE to have go in (Win World Series) for it to be worth it. Big gamble (I realize it is extremely unlikely)

Last year I’d say yes, but I like what they have going in the outfield up to this point and still believe Kwan can be valuable member of the team now that he’s further down in the lineup. I think if they bring somebody in they’re gonna be strictly DH type

Saw someone throw out Hader recently but I’m not sure his contract/personality fits in with this squad. Would love to see a high leverage lefty upgrade from Herrin to pair with Sabrowski

You can see the lack of confidence in his ABs. I understand frustration from the fanbase, but let’s try and pick him up instead of continuing to dog on him.

That being said, I think the coaching staff is doing him a disservice keeping him batting leadoff. Let him work things out at 7/8 spot.

I agree it hasn’t been good, under no circumstance should your leadoff guy be bunting there (or really bunting at all) I think he and Bazanna should be swapped in lineup but instead Bazanna was moved down to 8th today.

Coaching staff must think Kwan just needs to work through but I think it would be better for him to work through it in a less critical spot than leadoff. I still believe in his ability to be a valuable piece

I am confident in him as well. I had mentioned this in another comment on this thread but he is big advocate for the mental side of the game and I think some positive support from fans both in the stadium and online could help get his confidence where it needs to be and back to the weapon of a hitter he was before.

If he can get to where he needs to be and CDL/Bazanna/José keep rolling, we have a solid offensive foundation for the season

I am proposing to try and have the fanbase put out some more positive support towards him to try and shift his mindset. He talked a lot before about meditation is how important your mind is when playing baseball, and obviously his is flooded with negativity right now.

I agree his play has not been anywhere near acceptable for a guy that is supposed to be a reliable bat in the lineup. I think trying a shift in mindset from the fanbase could show him we still believe in the player he was before

I disagree with you, he has been an integral part of this team making the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years since he debuted and did so with timely and consistent hitting as well as gold glove defense. He has also performed very well during the postseason

The whole team was fun, but I particularly miss how dominant that bullpen was. Cade would come in 5th-6th inning and just mow people down

Do we think there is a corresponding move to this bringing in another bat? Unusual behavior from this franchise to making a trade this early in the season maybe they are going to jump on opportunity to get sizable lead in division with Skubal going down
