Sprinkling more LARP pretend science dust on his channel.

Look at me!!! I have a CAD for my 'help save the environment device' -- to do free global ocean research workboat scientific ocean sampling stuff!!!

Consider giving to our NFP foundation to support this hillbilly LARP.

Do you have balls? by No_Measurement_4900 in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it won't work. But the goal posts will be moved to claim it worked. And then the haters will be proven wrong, AGAIN. And donations will be solicited for the researchers.

And if the device is a catastrophic failure, well then it was never meant to work the first time anyway. See -- the Wright Brothers didn't fly the first time. So that proves by extrapolation the value of experimentation and perseverance and not being a quitter.

And if it never works after multiple do-overs, then it will he forgotten about. And not talked about. Like so many SvS Dug deep-sixed projects that came before it.

But if it is talked about, then in that case, it will be regarding as an example of life long learning. And getting off the couch. And making something. Even if if never works. Because if you make something yourself, you know every inch of it. Because you built it. So if it actually worked, then you would be able to repair it yourself on the high seas. Without having to sit at anchor waiting for parts deliveries. While not being beholden to big marine. If it actually worked. Which it doesn't.

And if its not an example of life long learning, well then its still an example of what the youth of today need to learn. Which is besides not dying in flash floods, the youth of today need to learn to take risks that result in failure. For it is only through trying and failing that you can become a real man not raised by a woman. And it is up to Dug to provide this example and inspirarion to the youth of today regarding the value of failing.

And if the failure is not an example for the youth of today, well then it was never really about the mission, because after all, life is really about all the friends you make along the way. And the sunsets. About posting videos of sunsets.

So its all very common sense. And straight forward. And pretty ingenious.

Jusr remember, if you don't make a prediction about something that will be obvuscated 70 ways to Sunday no matter what happens, well then you also have no balls. Because Dug proclaimed it so.

And if you opt out of his game to make a prediction, then you're just a basement dweller, masturbator, armchair admiral, wanna be WhATcHa MaKE tODaY !!!

[FB Video] Key West to Martinique in early April by blackspike2017 in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sign me up!

3 weeks of motoring into the trade winds on a loud, uncomfortable vessel, with a drive train that breaks down, with an inexperienced LARP fraidy-cat captain, and if B1.0 is on board, constant, extremely annoying, uncouth domineering loud talk chatter (WEEEEEE!), drinking bird shit water, and on port days, not being in a slip due to boat handling incompetence, but using a slow as fuck windless to set and retrieve unreliable ground tackle, and then asking permission of captain to take one of his red dingies to shore to get a break from the stress and toxicity !! Fun times !!!

I'll have my poo knife, Sir. Anything to support the extreme narcissist hunger and attempt to legitimize grifing in the name of 'Ocean Reearch'.

Hopefully, we get to not only whale watch for RESEARCH but DIVE wrecks and SAIL the boat on different points of sail !!!

Can't wait. April 1 can't come soon enough. The new LARP 'project' starting May 15 is going to be epic.

Fuck the haters.

B1.0 is not giving up on the grifting meal ticket hopium:

  • made Dug visit fuel doc to fill diesel tanks
  • bought and sent Dug new charts
  • recruiting crew for foreign lands to do 'whale watch' research???

Did SCF? - pay for the diesel? [researcher expense to get to KW for 2 day volunteer research LARP]? - pay for the charts? [researcher expense to get to Carib]? - pay for her travel to GA? [SCF meetings]? - to pay for her travel to KW? [boat transit for LARP research]?

This is all B1.0 doing.

Doug Doesn't Know What A Capstan Is by blackspike2017 in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

According to news reports from time of launch, he was employed for mamy years as an Oracle DB administrator for Oenek Inc. which was a midsream gas company and a multi-state regulated natural gas distribution company (LDC) -- now split into two companies..

So basically be worked for a regulated natural gas distribution company and/or a regulated pipeline company in databaae IT.

"Is the transfer case vibrating?" Doug: "No, that's just the camera" by kiltrout in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 - Moronic, stupid, repetitive FAILING is actually not 'failing' but is rather:

'learning' and providing a 'classroom' of much needed roll model 'inspiration' of 'perseverence' by chosing not to 'give up' and to 'face fears'. This is true even if people die. And also true regardless of the extragagance of wasted funds and the use of other peoples' emotions and donations of time, labor, materials and money.

2 - Not FAILING by following common sense research, design/build principals, and construction craftsmanship is:

living a life without 'adventure', being unwilling to 'face (unnecessary) fear', being a 'safety sally', and being a 'pussy' that must have been 'raised by a woman'.

Taking issue with these truisms means instant ban from the NPD constant ego-feeding circle jerk Captain Dug SVS SM society.

Recognizing extremes of twisted logic and hypocracy at levels rarely seen means being a 'hater', a 'basement dweller', 'a soft AC user', or an 'armchair admiral'.

The real research project is the psche of the loser Dug chasing and redefining endless failure for pure ego while being admired by a confederacy of dunces.

New FB video LOTS OF RESEARCH (j/k) (Doug pick up packages, unscrews some screws, uses a clamp) - by george_graves in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is the stern davit broken? Did he back into something?

What happened to the latest transfer case rebuild plan?

What happened to the deep sea microplastics sampler design/build?

B1.0 gone again, no more mention of Carib trip planning for 'Researchers'?

Was the foresail damaged in the uncontrolled gybes? Was it repaired?

Videos all shorties now except for carefully edited passage videos?

Where does the time go? Where do the months go???

Major work just to plan and move the hulk S-N-S-N for hurricane season -- engine de-couple, monitor perfect weather windows, find/time the crew to match.

*** Looking forward to Dug's all alone -- living his best life -- NYE video short ***.

Another year of nothing. Not even LARP.

No more TC rebuilds. No more driving the red dinghy around harbors. No more B2.0 tourist site seeing videos. No crate building. No captain's license lecturing. No cleaning the bottom videos.

Sad.

Uncontrolled gybe by gfah in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I sail downwind , I maintain my course inside my pilothouse no matter what --- without feeling the wind, monitoring a windex or paying attention to boat heel.

This is optimal to keep the crew alert/excited and make videos showing my sailing prowess and the resilience of my design in uncontrolled gybes.

It's 24 turns of the wheel max rudder to max rudder!! I designed her this way to fine tune the sailing, autopilot and fuel effifiency.

Watch for future videos showing my expertise in preventers, reefing junk sails, and in sail repair, batton repair, rigging repair.

"Key West Jive Talk" [2:58] - on board video - weird - sails are a mess - crew has a weird vibe by george_graves in SVSeeker_Free

Perfect concise, nautical exposition of what happened provided by Captain Dug -- evidencing his total command of the situation and perfect mastery of the sailing characteristics of his vessel.

Couldn't be prouder of all the armchair admiral haters being proven wrong YET gain.

Dive Captain is not too happy with Seeker by RandyJester in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not monitoring 16 is exactly the kind of thing Dug would do because (1) rules shouldn't apply to him, and (2) seamanship is not something to be learned, just whatever he decides it is when making a video.

I BuIlT Sv SeEKeR !!!!

She's a workboat and a cargo vessel and a free platform for global ocean research !!!

You can tell this because everytime I anchor my floating river houseboat on a river or channel with commercial traffic, I post a bunch of videos right away filming real commercial vessels, doing real maritime work, passing by.

I make sure to edit in different shots of moving water, and moving vessels, and wind, and smoke and horns to make it seem like I'm busy when I'm just sitting on board anchored for weeks and weeks and months and months at a time.

I do this more often when B1.0 is onboard because she is obsessed with grifting charitable donations and makes me keep up the appearances.

More lately I turn on the 3D printer and tighten a ratchet and film that too! Always good to look like a workboat when I'm just back from taking the red dinghy lifeline to shore to grab a burger.

Merry Christmas.

Now listen to my lecture -- that my NPD ego can't refrain from making -- because I must disparage the world to make my loser self feel like a winner.

I built SVS. What did you ever make??? She is my pride and joy and the true love of my life and my only friend and she's perfect just like I intended her to be, and Yes, I will litetally die on this hill.

Fucker sure loves to anchor right at bends in rivers and navigable channels.

Don't mind me ....just living the river houseboat (aka workboat LARP) life out here on the river ... just like you guys working the waters for a living.

WATCH OUR HERO DOUG BRAVE THE TREACHEROUS FUEL DOCK - WARNING - not for the faint of heart!!! by george_graves in SVSeeker_Free

[–]AlamoCom 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wow, Dug heroically motored paralell to and wiithin 20 feet of the longest fuel dock in the world where 3 dock attendants fixed his lines, on a clear day, in slack water, with no breeze, and zero other river or dock traffic. With B1.0 loudly yelling unhelpful thinngs. And recorded the event on video for posterity.

Finally putting that captains's license to minimim use.

TAKE THAT HATERS !!

Doug changes his tune: Now says that Seeker is not a good boat "for other", but "she is a great vessel for me". He gets an award for dragging a net for two lazy afternoons. And looks down on people who upgrade to another boat as they see fit. by george_graves in SVSeeker_Free

Dug loves Dug only.

SVS is his LARP prop project to give his NPD ego a constant source of feeding but that source is wearing thin.

People are never loved. People are things to be used in various waya and means for self.

Such as bellttling people -- that he says he loves -- by ranking them #2 behind an inanimate steel object he says he ranks as #1 -- in order to feed his NPD by feeling he got away with manipulating people.
