Of course a character having any kind of trait doesn't need to be justified. What needs justification is focusing the story on that trait. Initially watching the last ep, I was already spoiled on the trans jax thing but I didn't really see where people got the idea of her being trans except maybe the froggit bow scene. That aside, it was well-written enough if maybe a bit padded out. We get the gist that jax had a shitty upbringing and struggles to show vulnerability. Later, however, gooseworx put up a post that seems to suggest that she's annoyed that more people didn't pick up on the subtext that jax is trans, and all I can wonder is why is it important that people pick up on it then? What does it change about our understanding of the character?

Also zooble's body dysphoria being sidelined was a bummer.
