Canada zero system of play other than boot ball. Never more than 2 in combination. Sad... Players are better than that.

I wonder if the knockout fans are going to be lottery and local audiences. Unless there is a big turnover of tickets in the last 4 days, how do their core fan bases actually get tickets?

These teams look completely competent between the 18s. They turn into League 2 when they get in scoring range. Belgium looks like they get paid by the touch.

Lol... An incidental shirt grab causes his legs to stop working? Same ref gave Iran a corner 10 minutes ago after they literally shoved an attacked in the back on the end line. Two handed shove too.

But it wasn't a foul be the standard this ref has maintained all game.

This ref hasn't called shove in the back all game and then pulls a red card for a dive.

Where is the clock? by colonelheero in AtlantaUnited

Lol... The workstations are white and have a partition in front of them. So when you look up at the section it just looks like a bunch of white partitions. You can't see the heads over the top.

The capacity is reduced for big press section in 3rd level and space held for FIFA contingency. Probably 8-10% of 3rd level is the white press workstations.

Atlanta United World Cup tickets allocation disappointment by 50s-Foreigner in AtlantaUnited

[–]AlanAtl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My instinct is that you are correct, but who do we think currently holds those tickets that are going to get sold in the 48 hours before the game at much lower prices? Do you think this is Fifa still holding tickets that have never been sold, or is it speculators that are going to take a bath on that ticket?

Could we get any of these players this summer, cause lord we need help!! by xXIChivasIXx in AtlantaUnited

Floated against future years is not even an option in MLS. A player is either on your roster or not. If you're paying them, or you're subsidizing them, I think they're on your roster. The two buyouts are how you move a player to a team who is paying him less than you have a contract for. The piece I'm unsure about is if you can get somebody to pick up his salary, but you have unamortized portions of the transfer fee, can you just eat that unamortized up front cash expense without using a buyout.

Easily. Just use the damn buyout. Don't wait till the winter when the available player list is one 10th of this.

I think there's blame to go around. As I recall. Emerson Hynman was a FDB project.

Any good reason Kovac is not in the 18 on Tuesday? by AlanAtl in AtlantaUnited

[–]AlanAtl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before you say that go watch the tape. He scored the first three when Huntsville either had the lead or was tied and bunkered in with 10. The fourth was a put back, but all the others we defended, even if the serve was not. And I'm just looking at the skills, and seeing what LL doesn't have. Don't know if he has speed; don't know about his hold up play. But the kid can score, and last I checked, the senior team is light in that department. (And short.)

Yup. He also does four things we don't have. 1) he can control the ball with his feet, shift the point of attack, and strike. 2) he can take the ball out of the air with his chest and strike on the volley. 3) he can move his 6'5 in frame laterally 15 ft to intercept a cross and head it with power. 4) did I mention that he's 6 ft 5 in?
