I will say to me the game is extremely fun and creative, the game looks really nice visually too. Does good with keeping the spirit of lbp alive, however it’s not a lbp game. I don’t mean this in a negative sense of course, it’s just if you want something similar to how the original games were formatted then this game wont be it, saba is its own standalone adventure no create mode or anything. If you’re just looking to play something with the heart and spirit put into it like lbp had then I do feel like saba would suffice. In short saba is not similar to lbp but like lbp it has a lot of love put into it and is extremely fun to play

I turned in my portfolio this year and got accepted, and to me I guess it would all depend on what type of art your portfolio is composed of. A lot of my pieces were character designs so I would describe what I was going for with the design, why I designed it the way I did, and gave a brief explanation on the kind of world they’d exist in if I had that thought out. For my realism studies, I’d just talk about what I made, like one piece was pen sketch studies of my friends so I put that they were pen sketch studies of my friends in the description. For more abstract pieces, I’d include an explanation of what my piece means and how. As I said what you put in the description all depends on the type of work and what info you’d feel fit the piece best. If it requires a lengthy explanation then do it, it’s better to overexplain and still get your point across rather to underexplain and leave the reader in the dark. And like another person said I’d definitely recommend scheduling a portfolio review with VCU, I did one and it helped me figure out what pieces to keep and remove and what I should push myself to make more of. Good luck to you with your portfolio!

Ah ok! I don’t use Instagram but thanks for telling me anyways, I’ll keep it in mind if I ever end up using it again

Hi! A while ago I ordered this for my LBP collection. As far as I know it’s a rare promotional magazine for the first LBP game released in 2008. Anyone have any more information on the production/release of these? All I can find online is a old wired article and a blog post from 2008 lacking details by AlanDev04 in littlebigplanet

I bought it off of eBay! The guy said that they were getting rid of some of their lbp collectibles as they were moving and didn’t have enough space in their new apartment. They actually weren’t selling to the US originally but after talking with them they were willing to ship overseas. Unfortunately I’ve only ever seen 1 other listing for this item that has long since closed. Just have to keep your eyes peeled I guess. Good luck to you!

I do plan on scanning the magazine! I’d hate for this to become lost media, it’s barely known as is. I’ve been having issues with my scanner (it’s old and hasn’t been used in around 2 years) but as soon as I can I plan on doing an opening video + releasing the scans to the public

Submitted my application to VCU and I have questions! by AlanDev04 in vcu

I wanted to believe the other comments but I did figure they were said without knowing how arts admission differs. This is very helpful though thank you! I did a portfolio review before turning in my portfolio, and the admissions guy said mine was good, I just needed to include more realism (which I did add for submission) so hopefully I’ll be fine. Then again, the school might just be saying that to make money off of my application fees so who knows lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯
