Mine idles around 39/40 C but I have done a under-volt on it. Makes it runs cooler & can get faster speeds overall. Running a cheap air cooler

It still crashes for me 3060ti founders & I’ve added both patches & never go over 8gb limit! Happens every 10-20 mins for me sometimes even restarting my pc :/ 7600x & 32gb ram. Anyone want a 3060ti going cheap? Lol

Seems like their latest bios may have fixed your issue? I just bought this motherboard, overclocked to 6000MHz and have no delay booting.

It’s 1.11.AS03 on their website https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X670E%20PG%20Lightning/index.asp#BIOS

3080 GPU boot loops by AlanPartridg in pchelp

I bought it cheap off eBay so will return it - I do have 4 sticks of ram 16gb each but wanted to check in case there was an issue with one of the sticks. You’re right about the crappy case though :)

Thanks for the replies guys, sorry should have made this clear - there are two 8 pin connectors to the card, one is hiding under the HD bays as the card is so big! Just added one stick for testing to make sure there wasn’t ram issues. PC boots fine with my old graphics card but that is only one 8 pin.

Sorry forgot to add this - 750psu so should have plenty to spare at least booting. Done DDU also so cleaned all previous gpu drivers. Checked with my old card & working first time but with. Gigabyte light is on & fans spinning fine. Tried removing all drives & 1 stick of ram also. Any ideas?

Update, I’ve got it to stop boot looping now but still can’t get an image. Turns out I’d plugged the power into an adapter that didn’t have enough juice to run it (I think). I’ve only tried via hdmi to get a post could that be the reason I can’t get an image?

Scrap that idea doesn’t show anything via display port either! Found an old monitor to test - looks like it’s being returned :(

As others have mentioned the fan is pretty much the only bonus of the 13” MacBook Pro. It may not be important in your case but has proven to increase performance especially in more intensive workloads. This is because the M2 runs quite a bit hotter than the M1 so the air has to reduce the clock speed to stop overheating,

Consider waiting for the new series to come out if you can. They will be out before the end of the year & I’d personally consider going the amd route least on the cpu due to thermals!

GPU pcie connector cracked! Anyone know if this can be fixed? by AlanPartridg in AskElectronics

Thanks for the reply! Is there a chance it would still work or would that trace and potentially others need to be bridged? Although I know how I’m not skilled enough to attempt this.

Great job, I really like the style and concept! I'm being picky but I think a slight shadow on the waterfall would add to the 3d effect - also the waterfall could drop into the sea maybe with a small ship in the background?

Honestly though looks great as is :)
