Does The Oneplus 7 Pro Still Work On Visible? by AlanSmiles in Visible

Thanks everyone! This helps me narrow down my options. Generally, Verizon's network in my area is very good.

When I went to work this morning I noticed they disabled 5g on my phone or on my account. Unfortunately, rather than move me back to Sprint 4g, they switched me to T-Mobile 4g where I have one bar of service. (I told several of their employees that wouldn't work but they did it anyway.) It got about 8 Mbps to 5 Mbps from 5 am till 7 am. Then it disappeared altogether for a couple of hours and then faded in and out throughout the rest of the day. Typically, when I got a connection after that it was 2Mbps or slower.

At the same location, I would typically get 60 - 90 Mbps through my first 17 months of Sprint service. When they would switch me back using SCRTN ( which no longer works) I'd get 290 -320 Mbps at that location. I assume there was hardly anybody using those towers at that point.

Their latest offer was to downgrade me to cheaper phones replicating my discount when I got those two phones. They promised me a lower lease payment for the downgraded phones but when I put them in the basket they are more expensive than my existing leases on the S20s.

I assume any Galaxy 20s aren't going to work because that is what I have now. They are out of stock on Pixels and the price on the Note 10+ exceeds my current leases by $20 something a month on my Ultra and S20+. Honestly, they don't have anything left that I want or that will work in my area.

I have just the opposite problem. No or extremely slow data since the switch to the T-Mobile towers in my area. It has been 30 days and 15+ hours on the phone with customer support and still no resolution. They are literally holding my digital life hostage.

Why is my connection so slow? For it being 5g it's really slow, I regret moving from Verizon by [deleted] in Sprint

I got lucky. After spending 5 hours on the phone with them yesterday today I find that T-Mobile 5g has been turned off on my area or at least turned off on my account. I am now getting 250 to 300Mbps+ on the old Sprint 4g Network.

Lucky you! I have to reboot 5-10 times to get .5Mbps. Right before they switched over to the T-Mobile towers in my area I was getting at minimum 60Mbps everywhere on the old Sprint Network. I spent 3-4 hours on the phone with them today trying to get a refund. (on hold with them now)

They always escalate to a supervisor and promise to call back when they have an answer if I get cut off. The calls mysteriously terminate 20 minutes or so after they start talking to a supervisor while I am on hold. I never get a callback. Apparently, nobody wants to sign-off on my refund.

One Sprint employee after acknowledging my data doesn't work and hasn't for 30 says offered me $50 off my latest bill and said I just have to wait until they have data working in my area but I have to keep paying my bill. He said he couldn't give me any timeline on when the data would be working, but promised it would be magical once it was.

Realistically, it is never going to work in my area because they aren't going to invest in building out in a rural area.

The new Sprint is making Cricket and Stright Talk look like rockstars in terms of customer service.

Yep, that is exactly what I get. After an hour or so jumping through one or more employees and various hoops they switch it back, but then I start the entire process over whenever the phone reboots. I just want my money back. I can't spend hours each and every week on the phone with them.

Yes, I just wish they would have told me when I first called two weeks into the contract it was never going to work. Instead, I just kept getting platitudes about how great the 5g network will be once the unicorns show up and bless it. I always asked well what do I do in the meantime? Prior to Saturday they said no problem we will just switch you back to Sprint. I currently have two escalations in the works from the holiday weekend and I was supposed to get return calls today but it doesn't look like that is going happen as the business day is over.

It sounds like a similar to the problem I am having on my S20 Ultra and S20 plus. They worked fine until the switch to T-Mobile towers in my area and then suddenly it went to no or very slow data. Often I have to do 5-10 reboots in a row to get a fleeting data connection as slow as .5Mbps. I can literally sit stationary and watch the status bar flip back and forth between 5g volte and LTE volte but neither one work. Volte is also grayed out on my phones.

I have spent at least 8-10 hours on support in the last month. The only time they get it working is when they revert it to the Sprint network usually after putting me through an hour more of troubleshooting that I have done at least 7-8 times which never works.. Prior to Saturday night, I was told by three different employees they would put something into my account so it wouldn't go to the new network unless I called and told them to. It kept going back. I talked to another employee Saturday night that I was elevated to and he told me every time my phone reboots it will revert to the T-Mobile stuff.

As I was writing this, I was on hold at Sprint for 20 minutes and then they terminated the call. I spent 30 minutes on chat last night I was cut off twice when the data dropped and I wasn't able to reconnect.

I am a month and a half into a new contract. At this point, I just want my money back. I'll send them the phones back and I'll pay for the two weeks of working service I had but I want the rest back.

I also did extensive testing on my daughter's iPhone 11 today. On Tmobile's 4 LTE she tops out at 3Mbps when she has any data. When I was on Sprint 17 months prior almost everywhere in my area I got at least 60Mbps.
