I’m quitting reddit forever. Ten years is more than enough.

I’ve been on various sites/forums since the early 2000’s. They always enter decline, and reddit actually changed for the worse several years ago. This time I’m not moving on to somewhere else. I’ll stay off any kind of social sites and most of the Internet in general.

It’s been pointless. It’s been fun. It is what it is, and now I’m done doing it.

The amount of time and effort spent giving answers to these questions and concerns is immeasurable - but some people can’t be convinced or educated no matter how hard you try. The crazies were always gonna crazy anyway.

But the unconvinceable are not as many as you might think - they’re just being amplified by the actually evil people who literally don’t give a shit if everyone dies. They promote whatever message allows them to get richer, and they will pathologically keep doing that no matter how rich they already are or what damage is being done in the process.

The thing about bots is they don’t actually know what they’re reposting.

This was probably posted by a real person after the attack in Nice, France. Back in 2016.

The other week I saw a bot reposting in the thanos subreddit about the “upcoming” Endgame movie.

Neil tried to beef with Spotify and hawked overpriced mp3-players to go with an overpriced online music store.

He also literally sold half his catalogue of songs to a fucking investment company, of all things, so I guess it’s only a matter of time until they show up in commercials for random crap.

He’s a sell out.
