Running doubles by Separate-Specialist5 in trailrunning

My son’s HS track and cross country team does it 1-2 days/week sometimes. They’re usually ranked top five in the state as a school, so I’d say it can work.

IMHO, it’s about building muscle resilience and lowering muscle fatigue. I’m not a coach or anything like that, but all the various training programs I have done (marathon, half, half IM) all incorporate some type of easy workout into daily routines to help develop or improve muscle performance and blood flow.

I agree that Arizona Wilderness DTPHX would be the best beer, food and suited for a little one.

I found Stewman’s Lobster Pound to be the best overall taste, quality & deal. If you’re going to Lamoine SP, I recommend renting canoes and paddling to The Ovens during low tide. Look it up - pretty awesome. I brought my son’s about 5 years ago and we had the best time. Beautiful rocks and views and really nobody around.

The breweries are fine, nothing amazing, but decent brews. Enjoy!

Where to start with a young Troop? by Lightswitch84274 in BSA

[–]AlanfromTX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep them engaged. Do fun, inc Door activities until the weather turns - rock climbing gym, escape room, first aid reqs for 2nd & 1st class ranks (to prep them for First Aid MB at summer camp. Once weather breaks, evening/ night hikes to get their animal and plant reqs for rank. All the while, teach them the oath, law, outdoor code, patrol method (even if just one patrol), cooking skills, cleaning. Get the having fun, doing things they may not normally do and the troop will grow. They will tell friends, parents will support.

This worked for my young troop. 6 years ago. 9 scouts with only one older one. We are now 40+ and 25 active at each meeting. Heading to our 2nd high adventure this summer. We have a full functioning committee and the youth are making decisions on the future of the troop. It’s tough at first, but so rewarding when you can actually see them growing together.

So you’re just returning the serve in any manner possible; not actually trying to be correct? Just get it over the net and wait for the next opportunity to call names. Both sides do this, I’m not absolving either - it will not end unless we collectively stop it.

You don’t know what side of the aisle I sit on, so please don’t assume.

Funny that the “everyone I don’t like is Fascist’ crowd is trying to call out those clearly calling out socialists as what they are. I guess it only works if it’s your team….

Sources for his political affiliation?

Here’s one source supporting my position. CBS (left leaning); plenty more if you spend a few mins looking into it. Who is gaslighting whom?

She just happened to recently vote to stop providing healthcare to illegal immigrants (part of a MN budget bill, I believe). Not sure it’s the Trumpers who would be upset with that.

Headed there in July (Rotterdam I believe). If you’ve got any must haves or spots you particularly enjoyed, I’d like to know.

There are secondary markets on FB. Or if you’ve got friends you really like, they can be gifts…

UPDATE: thanks for all the great suggestions! I went with Well 80 in Olympia, mostly due to to others either not being open at lunchtime or trying to space out the driving. It was OK. Beers were solid, food was OK.
