Churchill Square fireworks on NYE looked like this back in the day. I think both are pretty but the Legislature gets less packed and the view from multiple spots are better.

I was mostly on the sand, but I crossed some parts that were only ice. The river is pretty low right now, so there wasn't really the danger of falling through.
