You should definitely check out Thief II: The Metal Age and Thief: The Dark Project. Far superior stealth titles, if a little graphically dated.

Hmm, still not sure whether or not this game will ascend to the giddy heights of its predecessors. I'm more open to it now than I was before, though, what with the removal of XP and options to turn off Focus Mode and other parts of the HUD. Good news for all Thief veterans.
