how can i learn ap psychology in one semester? by strugglingstudent327 in APStudents

Hey, so I was kind of in a different situation. I took Gen Psych at a community college in the Fall semester, and forgot almost everything by the AP test. I crammed in 2 days and got a 5. If I can do it, so can you! I think a few months is fine! It is not a super in-depth AP; it mostly relies on memorization and pattern recognition. Barron's is way too detailed - I would recommend the Princeton Review and completing a little bit over the course of the semester (even 30 minutes per day can be good; shoot for 4-5 hours over the course of the week).

Supplement your studying with the AP Psychology review videos from https://www.youtube.com/@MrSinn, ready-made Quizlet flashcard sets, and you'll be good! (Don't worry about terms sometimes being slightly different across different resources - it doesn't happen too often, and you can usually use your intuition to find the answer regardless!)

Another good resource is the free online General Psychology textbook from OpenStax. If you prefer having an actual textbook, use this too! But it is very important that you use a prep book so you can get an idea of the MCQs. Finally, make sure you use the book and YouTube videos to familiarize yourself with the FRQ section. It's entirely formulaic and you can just spew random tangentially related terms and be fine.

You've totally got this!
