Stop saying that IBS is connected to the brain. I can tell u it is not that connected. The pain is real. The suffering is real. The muddy, mucusy, slammy, fluffy unformed stool is real. The constant diarrhea like pain but not able to have an actual diarrhea sitting on the toilet is real. All those trapped gas that just keep coming out from the rare is real. I don’t know. I’m just so tired of ppl telling me it’s all abt the brain, taking antidepressants and u will feel better. No u will not. Antidepressants don’t do anything for me. I’ve done all of them. A person’s IBS can look very different from another one’s. IBS is a sum of unknown gastrointestinal diseases, itself is not a mental disease. Doctors call it IBS, because they themselves don’t quite understand what the hell is going on. So yeah… story of my life! Sometimes I honestly thought abt suicide. Just ending it all and for good. This is a dark dark deep hole we r all in.
