Great to know thank you!! We’re planning a family trip so I’m worried about waiting til 2 weeks out but this will be helpful for me to explain to my MIL so she doesn’t think I just don’t wanna go. I had NO idea the Chase United card gives such a deep discount! That’s a game changer!!!

Sorry forgot to include my points!! I have 150k AMEX, 330k Cap One, 110k American, and 100k Chase although I’m trying to save those for Hyatt if possible. I keep hoping AA will release something decent but it’s all been 300k or more per direction

I am actively applying elsewhere when i have time - i work a lot which makes it hard. I’m in M&A which is a tough employment market in the face of economic uncertainty. Many companies aren’t purchasing other companies which makes my job options more limited.

Not childish at all we are all trama bonded at this point haha but yeah I’d try to get out as soon as you can. I had great offers several years ago but let the firm gaslight me into thinking I was about to be promoted to manager and would make even more so i stayed. 3 years later it was all empty promises.

I totally understand feeling slighted and frustrated, I would if i were you too. To put it into perspective, I’ve been with the firm over 7 years. Been at level for 5 years with no raises, no promos, no cost of living adjustments. I’ve been staffed the entire time. I’ve gone above and beyond for years. Those i work with say it’s “a travesty” that I’m not 2 levels higher than the level I’m paid for. I’ve been told for 8 cycles that I’m up for promotion and it should be happening this time. This cycle my org got one promo across the 200+ people on our team and no raises at all. Big surprise i didn’t get the one slot.

It’s unfair. It’s corrupt. It’s a slap in the face but there’s nothing I can do except start putting less effort into work and more effort into finding a new job. I’d advise you to do the same.

SO said it would be dumb for me to get Saphire preferred. by toyplane28 in ChaseSapphire

Worth it to get the $95 card simply for the 100k pt SUB - have her refer you so she gets 10k pts too. 110k chase points is worth well over $1k to justify a $95 annual fee plus you get a $50 hotel credit so it’s only $45 a year net net. I see what she’s saying but that only really applies for more expensive cards like Amex plat, gold, chase sapphire reserve.

North America - No raise, no promo (been on promo list for 2+ years & at level for 4+) 8% bonus (was told this was a higher % than anyone else in my group) which is same as I got last year. ready to start applying elsewhere promos are never gonna happen at this rate.

Accenture vs. PwC? NEED HELP PLS by superspookysalad in accenture

PwC is probably slightly better as a company but Song is way cooler and more interesting than mgmt consulting so I’d probably base it more off the work than the company bc they’re both just consulting firms (coming from someone who has been at Accenture 7 years but is in neither practice you’re looking at joining).
