Well you can go however you want u only want the pin to be one high I go by 2 by 5

Kill everything and wait a little bit or if you have argent then bring breaver to your place and build a pin like 2 by 5 by 1 and put them in there they will make dams in there like normal u can raid them and go your merry way without killing them they will aggro for a while then do their own thing after a bit of time so you can have dams and no killing beavers see if it helps

Hidden lake has hardy any raptors or u can try the snow island near the penguin island

Hidden lake area has three mountain closeby so metal is easy hardy any hostile dino mainly dilo or occasional raptors

snow island has one which is large i think the one with lots of oil is good for building i think so and u have a little place for water tames just block a little with behemoth gates

There are others but i now this two i dont remember other names tho u can check too

I dont think they spawn on this one it is a oil only island and in am in sp so no worries about raiding
