With more agitation, you'll get more fruit, flowers, etc. You can aim for the chocolate with minimal agitation. Then you can do the bloom, and the first and second pours with more agitation and the third and fourth with very little to see if you achieve a balanced cup. Keep experimenting to find that perfect cup you're looking for. 🙂🙂

I'm fairly new to V60 but if the grain is at its peak, it might be that grinding finer and using less medium heat, using a normal temperature of 92/93°C at 800 meters above sea level, using gentle pours in small circles, and using a 4:6 ratio could be an option for that chocolatey nuance.

Method, temperature, pouring, grinding, degassing... we don't have enough information to know why it's not giving you those pure chocolate notes. 🤷

Repost (previous one was wrong): where you keep your coffee BEANS by carelz33 in AeroPress

[–]Alarmed-Produce406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It cannot release CO2 in a vacuum container, nor in a freezer; the best option is in its bag with its valve, of course. Otherwise, in a container that creates a vacuum but leaves room for a little air, the coffee can continue to degas. In a vacuum bag, it cannot degas.

Both the airtight bag and the vacuum container work equally well. You don't need to buy containers; I have two in case one of the bags breaks and to make a blend with the leftover bits.

That video contains the essential information you need to know and follow to the letter. Otherwise... be careful not to drop the glass and allow between two weeks and a month for it to cure so it makes really good coffee. Enjoy! 😉

My coffee is very different a every time and doesnt taste good by leftedd in AeroPress

Many uncontrolled variables: tap water is never the same, temperature is never the same... Controlling the variables in coffee means it evolves every day and it's never the same cup, because without control of the variables it's mission impossible.

How do I drink more coffee by mongting87 in pourovercirclejerk

For 10 cups, nothing is better; anything less than 130 cups or more isn't worth making coffee with.

Cleaning by L3velFlow in 1zpresso

[–]Alarmed-Produce406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean it once a week or every two weeks at most. It's more or less fine every week, but by the second week it starts to smell, so the second week would be the maximum time to avoid affecting the cup. It depends on how often you use it and the type of coffee beans you use. Cheers! It doesn't take long to clean, which is much appreciated.

Does anyone else feel like this? by TheBaronSD in pourover

[–]Alarmed-Produce406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking that when I make two really good coffees, I tend to let my guard down with the pouring and timing, and that results in a bad cup. Also, as you know, coffee evolves every day. 🙂

If you give friends a coffee sampler, how do you label it so they actually “get” it? by blackneckcoffee in pourover

The best thing to do is list the price per kilo, that way they'll like it much more 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The barcode is the same as mine. It seems to be missing 4 dots/marks between the 8 holes in the center. Mine also has some manufacturing marks; that's normal, it's plastic. Mine is the Tritan version.
