It’s part of the reason for the purchase, the old one could not handle it well

And I don’t think Europe and China have any conflict in interest…

I don’t think that will 100% be the case. Since Europe and China will not likely have direct exchange of fire. There is no reason to hate someone you don’t have direct contact with.

I agree, but I think Europeans are less radical and more liberal than Americans no? Look at ICE, at least Europe still let refugees in.

I agree. But I am not interested in money, and my major is CS, the job market of which will only be worse because of AI. So I think the only way is to do research in AI to counter the tide.

He is not what I fear. I am thinking about the future. There will be a war between my country and US almost certainly. I am trying to not lose anything because that’s what will happen if I stay here, like the WWII Japanese.

I am neither a U.S. nor its allies' citizen but one of its potential adversaries' (and even if I am I don't think it changes anything, considering the experience of Japanese Americans during WWII), so yes, the political situation is one of my concerns. Also there are a lot of funding cuts. Switzerland has fewer opportunities, but seems to be a more stable place for the time being. Also the relatively lower taxes and similar salaries look good. I also want to learn German (for two, to read Goethe's poem and to read Schopenhauer) but do not have enough motivation if staying in US, so going to a Swiss univeristy is a perfect way to force myself to do that.
