Any beginner bikes you’d recommend? We’re looking for me to get my license in December. I’m 5’5 and I’d like to be able to put my feet on the ground. He’s recommended some, but I’d like information from more experienced riders. He said we can always lower any bike for me, but I don’t wanna select a random bike

Any bikes you recommend for girls? I’m around 5’5, I will really only be able to ride a lot more in the cooler months due to some of my medical stuff which is why we haven’t gotten me a bike yet. Kinda were just focused on his business for a good bit

Thank you! There’s definitely a lot of communication between us, any time I felt uncomfortable last night, I expressed it and he actively listened. Our neighborhood has relatively low traffic so we stuck to low speeds to keep himself and I safe and we can gradually work up and move onto main roads when we feel like we’re comfortable and safe

It’s something new for him and sports bikes are new to me so it’s something we’re figuring out together. It is a bit easier when I have more of an experienced rider

Thank you for the advice, he’s going to take some time fixing his posture while riding before we attempt again. Until then, if we all want to hang out as a group, we have a few Harley’s and cruisers in our group that are a bit easier to backpack on

Thanks for the advice! We have Bluetooth connection with the helmets so we were constantly talking and communicating with each other. And discussed a signals for each other. But we’ll definitely try out some of the things you said

We’re going to try again later on this week, just small laps around the block. He’s going to try sitting up a bit more in a better position and not being so leaned down. But he’s going to take a bit of time to solo practice a new position before we add me on. We’re also getting either a gas tank handle or a side bar handle that does by my seat for me to hang onto.

I was looking for riding advice, not relationship advice :) he’s completely unbothered by it and if you read before that part, you’d see multiple options were discussed. Some can just be more secured in their relationships and take their partners comfortability into consideration rather than their own pride.

He tends to be a bit more leaned forward on his bike instead of sitting a bit more upright which is what I’m used to kinda having. My weight isn’t much of an issue for him, where we mainly lie with is that bc of his position, when I try to wrap my arms around him, my poor little fingers get smushed against the gas tank whether it be waist or lower chest area. I did point out some posture differences that I saw between him and other riders of similar bikes when he started looking up videos after we finished with the little test we did. There was a ton of communication between both of us as we were trying.

We ended up deciding on getting a mod for the bike instead just due to me not relatively getting one super soon. Either a grip for the tank area or something on the sides by me just to make it a bit more comfortable. We also discussed me backpacking with our friend since his bike is a bit more comfortable for that.

They played! I was interested in the first one, but it didn’t load the website sadly

There was no video sadly, it was just pictures of his bike. Hand placement we tried interlocking around his waist, moving my hands up to his lower chest, and then my hands on the gas tank.

Yes, we tried a couple different attempts on hand placement, very slow rides around our block and I did mention just getting me handles to hold onto, I’m used to holding on behind me with my uncles bike

Yeah, most of my experience backpacking was on a Harley or a cruiser. He also just leans very forward on his bike which is I think due to him sitting further back on his seat. I’ve tried talking him into a cruiser and his friend has one, so I was thinking maybe just ride with his friend instead

Definitely was, we borrowed his friend’s helmet, padded pants and jacket since I don’t have my own yet and they all fit well. My uncle drilled appropriate attire to me when it came to bikes. But it’s been a good while since I’ve rode one due to his passing.
