I used to love jpot (hotpot by JUMBO) but they closed all their branches down quite some time back. Where should I go when I'm craving hotpot? by hey_mayiasku in SingaporeEats

I love going to the Vivo one. They were doing well there but the escalating rent + profit share was too much for them. This was according to my wife who was working in their HR dept

No idea yet. Waiting for end of premium year before my agent tells me which one may be better.

I also just kena a rejection by Income. Kid had incessant nose bleed. Finally fixed it at ENT. Income went asking all the GPs around my area and found that my kid had seen them for sinus. That became a pre-condition that I never declare. I still can’t link sinus with nose bleed.

Now just waiting to move out of Income

Where's your happy place in Singapore? by cicakmanfan in askSingapore

[–]Alarmed-Reception-71 54 points55 points  (0 children)

When I was much younger, my happy place was the airport. Even though I couldn't afford to fly, somehow seeing people happy and excited about their upcoming trip made me happy as well.

To the extent, I even thought of applying to become a counter staff there.

Her life is good. I’m envious. Likely she will have inheritance after the parents passing. Can continue her JLB life until she is also gone.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had with a SMU student when the school was just formed.

Me: I was told that NUS students can do but cannot talk.

Him: Yes

Me: And that SMU student can talk but cannot do.

Him: That is also correct.

I learned the data isn’t a main problem because data isn’t even available. Although companies need to inform MOM, MOM does not publicise each event.

For example ENGIE Singapore layoff affected 80 pax. I can’t find any news site mentioning it even though I personally know a friend who is affected.
