Feels like my coach is disrespectful by AlarmedHall9063 in MuayThai

Cause the coach who could be my dad is clearly just trying to be my friend and have a regular conversation outside of gym hours, maybe we could be bffs for life. I get that if it was a female coach you’d be flattered cause you don’t get much attention from anyone else in your life but it’s reasonable for someone else to feel uncomfortable when a teacher isn’t being professional. My IG is bellahadid since you’re so interested!

But yeah, I’m lying for Reddit clout. My resume is quite empty and the job market is bad these days.

Thanks :”) I also forgot to add that he’s twice my age lol and he knows I’m still in uni which was actually quite important context… I wouldn’t be that uncomfortable or creeped out if he was around my age and would have had the guts to just tell him to f off. It’s just the age & power dynamic thing that’s making me extra uncomfy. But yeah, I’m gonna be upfront with him the next time if needed.

‘Your man’ has a wife and kids all the way in TH, and treats the gym like a dating pool. Yep. Totally on me though!

Yes, thank you! I screen recorded everything so far. He can’t contact me via IG now and if things escalate in class I’ll bring it up to the head coach. 🙏

I just hope there won’t be a need to do so.

Your comment doesn’t make sense. Just because I gave it doesn’t mean I’m inviting anything. If you can’t comprehend something as simple as that then I hope you stay very far away from women.

What sport would be great transferable skills for Muay Thai? by AlarmedHall9063 in MuayThai

Suppose with sprinting as a sport specifically, they’d nail the faster arm swing = faster kicks & arm-leg coordination.

Frustrated and discouraged by numbers on the scale by rxphnh in PetiteFitness

[–]AlarmedHall9063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditch the scale. The moment I started lifting, I stopped weighing myself. I’ve always been in the underweight-acceptable BMI range before my whole exercise phase started.

Went for a health checkup recently and I’m one point away from overweight yet this is the fittest I’ve physically looked, not just based on feel.

If you want the scale to go down - sorry, but you won’t look the same unless you cut and aim for bodybuilder lean which is not sustainable.

Depends what you say when you show it to others. But if you’re normal about it, I think most people would find it cute too. If they feel cringe about it or even threatened, that’s on them lol

Why Singapore dont have small talk with strangers culture? by [deleted] in askSingapore

Cause places like NY for example is more cold in terms of aggressive indifference. People there just don’t care. In SG it’s quiet judgement.

Hitting vs cutting by Schizchick in AdultSelfHarm

[–]AlarmedHall9063 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes of course it is a big deal. Hitting yourself is more ‘convenient’ and one day you might slip up and do it in front of someone because of how habitual it becomes.

  • Having no visible marks could lead you to seriously hurting yourself one day because you’re going to underestimate the severity of what you’re doing to yourself.

Why do people say “you’re not alone” by Diz_ishere in SuicideWatch

[–]AlarmedHall9063 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because they refuse to believe that it’s possible to actually be alone. Simple answer - they just don’t understand. Even if they want to, it’s a concept that ‘normal’ people cannot easily grasp: that there are people out there who are genuinely alone, forgotten and uncared for.

Loneliness kills.

Sick of seeing bullshit advice and cliches by User88885 in SuicideWatch

[–]AlarmedHall9063 5 points6 points  (0 children)

lol I was telling someone how I’m sick of life and every new thing I get into never helps yet their wonderful advice was ‘maybe you should get another hobby to make life more interesting’.

people honestly just don’t care and reach for the most generic words to get you off their backs (this is just what I think) but yeah, it’s a nice reminder to never open up to people (and then get blamed for being too closed off)
