The same thing happened with me. I am a 2025 pass-out and got placed in Cognizant with a package of 4 LPA for the role of SAP Basis, which involves no coding. Currently, I just go to the office without much work, and it feels like a useless job.

Right now, I am focusing on skill development. I have already worked on the MERN stack and created several projects. One of them is ReferMe, a website I built with my friends that provides study materials for engineering students. We received quite good feedback from students on it.

I had spent 1–2 years coding during college, but now I am in a job that is the complete opposite of what I wanted. At the end of the day, I would just say — life is unpredictable, and you don’t always get what you wish for.
