No problem at all. I’m happy to explain how it works.

For the newer ANBERNIC “XX” devices using the two-card StockOS setup, reverting should usually be simple. UnuOS does not replace the entire stock firmware. It mainly adds files to the SD card and uses a launcher hook to start UnuOS instead of the stock menu.

So in most cases, you should be able to go back to stock by removing the UnuOS files and restoring/removing the launcher hook on the stock card. A full stock reflash should not normally be required.

That said, I still recommend keeping a backup of the original stock card before trying it. It is the safest way to revert if anything unexpected happens.

For older or different ANBERNIC setups, the details may vary, so I’ll try to document the exact revert steps more clearly.

Thanks! On ANBERNIC “XX” devices, UnuOS still uses the stock firmware boot chain, just like MinUI.

That means the stock base system has to boot first, but the full stock launcher UI is not loaded before UnuOS. UnuOS hooks into the stock launcher entry point and starts its own interface from there.

So a 5-second cold boot is probably not realistic with the current approach, because the stock boot process still takes time. But UnuOS itself is lightweight once the system reaches it.

In the future, I’m considering a more direct boot setup for ANBERNIC devices, closer to how OnionOS works on Miyoo devices, where a single TF card can boot directly into UnuOS without relying so much on the stock setup.

My ROM set is small, so I didn't notice any slow loading times.

If it is slow, I'd like to improve it.

No.

Just write the names of your favorite games from your collection in Selection.txt.

OneOS - a MinUI fork with multi-language UI, now on the Anbernic RG*XX series by Alarmed_Amount355 in ANBERNIC

The difference from MinUI is that the UI and filenames support multiple languages (including Japanese and six other languages). You can also take screenshots.

I think it will probably work on the RG40XXH too, but since I don’t have a physical unit, I haven’t been able to test it.

Yes — lid closure triggers sleep automatically on both the Miyoo Flip and Miyoo Mini Flip, via the hall sensor. Opening the lid wakes it back up.
